Stick provides an excellent voice-over commentary of a Round 6 match played Sunday in the California State Championship. The match features Justin Nunez vs. Ray Fogerlund, two players who later faced each other in the finals.

As was the case with other free lessons Stick has posted, this one will be available only for a short period. Unlike Stick’s previous videos, however, this is one you can download and keep. If you are interested, you should download it today. Run time is just under 50 minutes. The video is available in two formats: ARF and WMV.

That was kind of painful to watch. For some reason I can't view Stick's analysis, and I'm not sure I want to. The only matches I've watched start to finish were guys like Mochy v. Falafel. Are live regs really this bad?

And btw, Taper Mike, are you the same person who streams all the Phil Lesh Shows? Sorry if a dumb question. Just wondering.

And I love you Bill Robertie!!!!

I'm not the same person, but you have broken the code.

I chose Taper_Mike as my handle, first of all, because somebody already took the name Mike. How crass was that? Then, since I don't like adding numbers, I wanted to add a word that describes me. Although I am not a taper, I often danced in the taper section while my friends recorded the many Grateful Dead shows we attended. After I tried a few other handles, and found that they were also taken, I settled in on Taper_Mike.

I suspect I've had it just as long as my namesake. I have been using the moniker since the mid 90s.

BTW: Check out https://archive.org/details/GratefulDead for lots of free streaming.
