I just can't see the point in playing for money at something where the odds of running into a cheat are so high, and the recourse is non-existent. Even small stakes.

Well put. I never saw the point either.

1. I'd argue that there's a big difference between playing a 7 point match for 20 bucks between friends and saddling up to a little $500 a point online action right after you set up a screen name. If a guy is going to run a bot for $20 matches, I'm going to see it in the analysis and call him out. That's a hard way to make 60 bucks.

2. Why hold BG to some higher standard than online poker? Who's to say the other players don't have you in the middle. Or how about one of your opponents is a former WSOP Champ who is looking at the entire tables' hole cards every hand. It happened before, it's happening now, it will happen again. Or maybe one day, after you've overcome all the BS and build a nice bankroll, you log in and find out the "poker site" where your money WAS turned out to be more ponzi scheme than gaming site?

So yea, online gambling for more than chump change, is a damned fool thing to do (unless you have some move of your own).

I'd say that chances to run into a bot at $20/match is way higher than at $500/pt. No pro keeps enough of br online to play $500/pt, and if you deposit and open a $500/pt table not even Mochy will sit you cause he'll just assume you're a bot.

Not sure how you're going to see in the analysis if the person is a bot or not, no one runs at a perfect match to XG roller anyway for many reasons, most likely his ER will be around 4-5, and it's good enough since there's no one in the world who can beat that + rake.

Poker is way different because of a sheer number of rec players and the fact that there's still nothing even approaching GTO strategy for most of the variations.

HU limit though where bots destroy humans is just as dead as backgammon
