I have a mac, and it seems gridgammon doesn't support mac. I found a site called gamesgrid. It says it supports mac. Can anyone tell me about this site? Anything you can tell me about it.

thanks

Far and away the best online backgammon site.

I am living in Amsterdam, and very little initiative is undertaken to organize and promote low limit live games. Try to start up something by yourself, instead of that repeated nagging about online play.

Hi Wazzle,

i think gamesgrid is a good website.
In my experience, what i heard about it, it's not a play-for-money site, but i might be wrong.
What i do know is that you can join the site only via an introduction via another forum (bgonline.org/forums).

By the way, it's a very active forum, and they will sure help you further.

I myself play a lot on a few other websites (not for money).
On gamecolony.com and on playok.com (where they have an almost daily tournament where between 30 and 40 players join),

have fun, and let me know more about gamesgrid when you join them,

greetings k.

Is gamesgrid even still around? I used to play there years ago but when looking for it today, this article came up claiming it is now defunct:

So are we talking about "GridGammon"?

Hi ryqh,

reading the link you sent I guess you must be right, we are talking about gridgammon.

Remains the question, is it Mac-proof?

I don't know.

GridGammon has software for MAC. Just mention this during registration.

Dmitriy is correct, there is a Mac version but you need to let Gridgammon know (ie. when you fill out the registration form etc). Gridgammon can supply a link to a place to download it.

A word of caution, there is a serious bug in the Mac client that prevents you from inviting other people. The program will crash if you do so. If you allow others to invite you it is okay. The colour scheme on the Mac client is not the greatest (blue and pink), and I don't think it can be changed.
