Hello everybody, i am new here and would like your opinion about a position I encountered while playing a game against a bot.
I am white. How do I play 6-2? (the dice on the picture are wrong. cube in the middle)
Thanks for any help.

In Position 1, just run with 24/16. You're probably worried about leaving blots in the outfield that Black may hit, and 18 of his numbers hit. But look at it this way -- if you run out, there's a 50% chance that Black will hit you and send you back behind his block. But if you stay back and play something like 12/6 7/5, it's 100% that you'll still be behind his block. Give yourself a 50% chance to be out.

In the second position, just play 7/4(2) 8/5(2). You then have a 5-point prime and you don't have to play 6s or 5s, so your prime may hold up if Black doesn't roll a six for a couple of turns. Black, meanwhile, has to play all his numbers, do if he doesn't roll a 6 for a couple of turns, his prime may break. You're certainly a solid underdog, but the right play gives you a chance to win.

Thanks for your reply.
12/6 7/5 was exactly the play I made. I thought I was clearing the blot with 12/6 and maybe improving a bit the attacking structure with 7/5. you're right, I guess I was worried too much about getting hit again and overlooked that I am escaping and gaining a real advantage when i'm not hit.

In the second position, I thought about your play but decided to play 8/2(2).
I remember thinking that by keeping my bar point I am blocking his back checkers from escaping with 6's. Your play seems better to me now after reading the reasons.
