I would like to say a big hello to all you guys on the backgammon thread.
Recently, I've found myself with extra time on my hands which I've used to put in extra backgammon study. I discovered this site a few weeks ago and have been studying Bill's superb Problem of the Week series which has improved my game enormously, and complements his 501 Essential Backgammon Problems that I've read so many times I've practically worn out the pages. I appreciate just how much work goes in to each Problem.
I've really enjoyed reading the threads going back a while, picked up some great tips and feel that I have got to know some of you just a little. I like that you answer the problems without checking with the computer first, and your kind and welcoming to newbies to the site (hint, hint).
Tomorrow, I'm going to Wimbledon for the tennis. I was listening to Jim Courier commentating at the French when he implied backgammon is popular amongst the players.
