Stick has posted two video lessons over at BgOnline.

These are recommended, but do not tarry. Stick will have to take them down very soon.

It looks like the first video lesson is no longer available. When I tried to watch it (for the 2nd time), the link failed.

The second video is still working, but if you are planning to view it, don’t wait. Stick explains that his Webex account allows only a limited number of videos. Usually, he posts the private lessons of his students. These public lessons have to be cleared just to make room.

At least the annotated XG transcriptions are still available.

XG Match File for Lesson 1
XG Match File for Lesson 2

Thanks to Grant and others for the positive response they have given here.

All kudos, of course, go to Stick. Please take the time to post a message at BgOnline, where Stick is requesting feedback on the good and bad things in his lessons.

Heads up! Stick has posted the fourth of his video lessons.

These things don't stay on the air for very long, so don't hesitate.

Today, Stick posted the fifth in his series of free lessons. This time the score is DMP. The video lesson lasts about 75 minutes.

Stick just posted his latest free video lesson. These don't stay up for more than a week or two, so be sure to check it out soon.

This lesson teaches just one thing: In unlimited games (i.e, for money), and at normal match scores (NML), you can often simplify your analysis by making the DMP play. Rather than estimating gammons won and gammons lost, and going through a bunch of algebra, just make the DMP play!

Stick plays 5 games in a match to 15 points (the match is never finished), and in those games, the DMP play turns out to be best in all but two circumstances.
