I play a lot of tournaments on FIBS.

Last night I watched a match in progress to
determine who my next opponent would be.

A friendly courteous player, maffi is pitted
against a (seeming) newbie named Roland_G.

maffi has a rating very similar to my own >1800
Roland_G had a remarkably weak rating of 1393 !

I imagine that Roland_G may be playing with a newbie's
account as he is playing extremely well and emerges victorious.

maffi has XG software immediately analyze the match finding
Roland_G played at a World Class and World Champion level !

So ... I am to play him in a 5 point match.

As that match commences I confront him.

Roland_G tells me that his rating is so abysmal
because he "only plays bots" and he resigns
whenever he "gets angry" - to use his precise words.

There is no human moderator i.e. Pattie, Tom, Diane

I lose the match and my rating drops by about 7 points !
Had he been playing with a realistic rating my rating
depreciation would have been under 4 points !

I have been robbed of three (3) points !

I "shout" the following in the Public Chat:

"ATTN: Roland_G is a fraud. DO NOT play him.
XG software rates his play in recent matches as
"World Class" and "World Champion."
IF you play him your rating will be adjusted AS IF
you have played a 1400 player !"

I hope that I garner some feedback here.

I take it that this is intended ironically.

If you play tournaments that don't require a certain rating to enter I think you just have to suck it up. I can't tell from the description that he is a fraud at all unless one can prove he deliberately tanked his account for someone else's gain or that he holds more than one account on FIBS.

I think I have more of a problem with your shout though.
