Does anyone play here? And if so, does anyone know if this site is inhabited solely by bots that simply sit there declining games all day (why?) or is it just a bit of a freak-fest?

I see people sat there with unfulfilled games for hours on end, who simply decline. I mean, wtf?

Gridgammon is the best online site out there, and games are going on all the time.

You could also try Yahoo. The players aren't very good, but you can always get an opponent fairly quickly.

The weirdness has reached epic levels tonight. Game after game sat there unanswered, rejection city. W...T...F.
I'll take your advice and just play elsewhere... just too weird and rubbish.

Pogo is kind of fun are there any sites for money that aren't bot infested?

I know exactly what you mean by the common rejections to play a match on BGRoom, and it is frustrating. One possible reason is the player who rejected your offer to join their table has their hands full with another game - or games - in progress. I think it's BS that players can have multiple games going on as it results in rude delays for the opposing players. Another thing is your rating may be too high for their comfort.

I find it best to set your own table and match options up and wait for an opponent to join - I usually go with a 3-point match. I find that I don't have to wait more than a few minutes - if that - for some game action. The level of skill I have encountered there is actually quite impressive. There also aren't as many stallers or mean-spiritedness I have encountered elsewhere.

I am going to check out Bill's suggestion, GridGammon - I haven't tried that one yet.

Actually, I was wrong about being able to play multiple games while playing on BGRoom. Apparently, you can open multiple tables, but once a game is under way, the other tables are automatically closed.

Thanks for suggestions Robertie... silly question, but are you Bill??

Unfortunately GridGammon requires you to be referred by an existing member. I've emailed them anyway to see.
