Encountered this at GG and really didn't know what to do. Thoughts? (Posting from a phone so can't put a diagram, but it should be easy to picture).

I think both players started the game by playing 13/8 13/11. Then you roll 5-2 again, what is your play?

Edit: I guess I would hesitate between 13/8 24/22 and 11/4.

I'll play 24/22 13/8 here. I don't have a new point yet and my distribution is bad, so it seems like moving the back men has risen in value. I'll split even though my opponent has more builders than on the opening roll.

Play B looks like 13/11 8/3, since it actually makes a new point. Slotting the 3-point doesn't inspire confidence, however.

I just don't see any urge or special giftedness in using a smartphone.

I'll go with play B. I want that asset and live with 8/3 rather than put a 5th man on my 8 point.
