I knew what I had to do, but my pride seemed too great. One evening I prayed, asking God to take away my resistance and make me a Christian. I prayed this way for six hours with no apparent answer. Finally, I realized that Jesus Christ will not force Himself upon anyone, even if asked. It was up to me to humble myself and invite Him in. And this is what I did at 1:06 in the morning. I then signed my name to the "decision statement" at the back of my Gideon Bible, acknowledging Jesus Christ as my lord and Savior.
Jesus and vampires have a lot in common.

No they don't.

Vampires are a weak attempt at copy cat simulation from a stupid mind.

Do you know millions of people claiming to be vampires?

They both rise from the dead and their followers have to their drink blood to gain everlasting life. Both can be killed by way of a stake. Yeah, you convinced me Splendour, Jesus was in fact a vampire.

You didn't answer the question.

Do you know of millions of vampires?

Posting pics is not an acceptable answer.

I know people who drink blood and call themselves vampires. I have never met someone who describes himself as the son of god.

I'm unsure if it's in the millions, but definitely above 100k.

You're making up stuff now.

I'm not asking about people who drink blood and call themselves vampires.

I am asking you do you know millions of vampires with the powers vampires claim?

If not your comparison is invalid.

Yes. I know millions of vampires that drink blood, can fly and will live forever if they are not killed. However, I can only offer my personal testimony as evidence. Come to think of it, it's really similar to your supernatural Jesus claims!

No, it's not the same claim at all.

You deliberately left out other powers that vampires are alleged to have so you can force your false comparison on this board.

Whatever vampire powers you can think of, they have! Again, like your supernatural Jesus claims, I can only offer personal testimony.

Go back and read Greenleaf.

He's the expert on witness testimony.

And when somebody commits a crime in front of your eyes and you don't have any physical evidence let's see how you feel about eyewitness testimony then.

After all it's not like Jesus being witnessed by his disciples was a one-time event. They were with him day and night for 3 years.

When they testified plenty of people were still alive to refute them if he hadn't lived. But no one came forward to dismiss it. Tacitus and Josephus and others confirm there was a Jesus.

Again, eye witness testimony counts for nothing when it's referring to 'supernatural' phenomenon. Unless, of course, you believe thousands of people have been taken aboard alien spacecraft...

If they're killed by what I perceive to be a supernatural event I'm more likely to submit myself to the psych ward.

Again, the bible doesn't prove the bible.

You would think that Josephus would of mentioned all that crazy miracle stuff, wouldn't you....

You should try using that skeptical attitude appropriately.

Are you seriously silly enough to believe that a book written over 1500 years that managed to keep it's thematic integrity wasn't divinely inspired.

People could keep up a hoax that could last for 1500 years?

C'mon...now who's being gullible?
