I say this partially as a joke and partially as a commiserater in existential despair.

I spent 5 years at college. I have two diplomas, one in construction and one in engineering, "A" level business studies award and many night courses in AutoCAD and even web deisgn and I dont really want to go back to school, I am 27.

I am tied in with a mortgage with negative equity. I wouldnt even know what trade I would want to do and I dont have any money saved to invest or start something new.

I dont think my prayers deserve answering, I dont deserve anything,.

If there is an answer it depends on how much I get paid, the more I get paid the more I like it.

If you are looking for something to pray for....something that might be answered and will bring you real happiness....then I suggest that you pray several times a day to God to remove this model from your pysche.

It's not often I agree with Stu, but I will here. Instead of praying for money, pray that you learn how to value things like friendships, sunrises, laughter, and all the things in life that money can't buy.

Actually, I think it's silly to pray at all. But praying to an imaginary friend can't be as unhealthy as what you're currently doing, which is idolizing money and making it your god.

I hesitate to respond again, because I'm 99% sure you're leveling us. But the point is, praying for solutions to your financial woes is pointless. For one thing, you're talking to yourself, because god doesn't exist. But even if god did exist, you should learn how to take care of yourself and not bug god or think he cares about your trivial problems.

If your not trying to pull a joke, I will answer you, but it will take some time for me to actually put the effort required to give you what you need to understand...

I watched your video. Don't really have a problem with the first part of it. However I will criticize the second part. The part were the narrator claims the scientific studies are correct. Those scientific studies are flawed because they are not testing the power of prayer to heal but rather God's willingness to participate in a scientific study.

The problem is you can never really seperate the prayer from the study. The act of studying the effects of prayer change the prayer from being just a prayer into an element of a scientific study. The only way you could really study the power of prayer is if God volunteered to be a participant in the study. These studies make the assumption that God is a willing participant or that they have somehow fooled God into not knowing He is participant in a study, but there is really no compelling reasons to think this is true.

There's an inherent feeling in all of us that says we deserve better. "Better" as in "freer".

What is it that we deserve?

The Bible starts out with a description of God creating the world. And then God says that he wants to make something (he calls it man) like himself to rule the Earth.

And poof here you are. Man. Check yourself over, do you feel like God? You don't sound like God, IMO (I would expect God to be sure about things).

A lot of time has passed since God decided to create a physical body that housed his imageination. But that feeling telling you that you deserve better, what do you think that is?
