This is the problem with liberals. You can watch a group of a couple hundred innocent people from various middle eastern countries being machine gunned down into a pit in the middle of the desert and it doesn't make a US news wire. Then political correctnessnessness says we need to have a debate (or even declare it news worthy) to decide if a kid who put a picture of a carved stone blowing him should face criminal charges? But I mean the kids clearly a danger to our society.

Ridiculous. Its decency and obscenity laws, which are generally put forth and supported by conservatives, that make this a story or crime at all. It be a non story if the evil morally corrupt libs had their way.

Labyrinthine reasoning is standard fare in polemical arguments. The only goal is to establish sides and explain why yours is better and / or the other worse. Like the implied argument here: "If you <name of group> really cared, you wouldn't care. Thus you are hypocrites".

Reading commentaries below controversial news pieces with this in mind is sad, but enlightening.

In other words I think that silly trivial matters such as do men and women have equal rights, is the couple next door that loves each other just as much if not more than a straight couple equal, black and white relations, some kid pretending to get a blowjob from a rock. I think these are all topics thrown at the general public in 90 second bits to keep the masses thinking they are informed in between Beiber news and idolized sports star news. I think if 1 mainstream news channel started a show where they had hours of intelligent conversations and talked about real world issues and didn't give a **** about reality tv, or sports hero's, or trendy bull****. If they asked real questions and from the beginning acknowledged that we are all the same and we all deserve to be free and respected as people that it would change the country. For some reason 100s of black youth in Chicago are less important than 1 black man in Ferguson, and that black man in Ferguson is less important than than some white kids, but less than all of them are the thousands of women and children we have been killing the middle east since before I was born. Wonder why we have Islamic extremist?! If a foreign country had been in the US for 20+ years causing mass casualties of our people we would have a "Christian Extremism" movement. So basically a lot of rambling, I have no idea why I go into a political conversation online. I think its all bull**** and controlled and I think everyday people are too concerned with matters of non importance and celebrity to see past the curtain.
