A Sign for the Times?

Some people think that Mark 8:24 was a sign intended for us today because its only understandable in the light of modern medicine.

Here's the summary of it:

Re: A Sign for the Times?

Maybe it was just an example, like the story of the hard-hearted judge, to persevere in prayer.

It is cool, though.

Re: A Sign for the Times?

I ran across it on the radio about a week ago so I looked it up.

Apparently the seeing tree things is a part of the process in regaining your sight and only an eye doctor would know about it.

There was a whole thing on it on, 60 minutes, I guess, a few years ago. Maybe more like ten, now. It has to do with those blind from birth who's brains haven't had time to learn to organize visual information. It's very difficult for them if they suddenly regain their sight, it's like they become blind again, because they can't negotiate the world and training themselves is a long, frustrating process.

It and the verse you quoted were all the talk of religious forums back then. The atheists went to some lengths to say you can't assume the passage means that.

You can fight with them this time. BTDT.
