question about the old testament and revelation question about the old testament and revelation

so for some reason a thought popped into my head last night about noah's ark. as i recall god makes a covenant with noah promising never to wipe out humanity ever again. then i thought about how in revelation it seems that he promises to wipe out humanity in the future. this could be just a problem of my misremembering the wording but i'd like clarification on how the two work together

New Jerusalem or the transformation of the earth into a new state of being (that of human beings).

You have to read Genesis 9 and compare it with 2 Peter 3.

That's quite a leap from Genesis to 2 Peter furyshade.

Genesis 9:11 I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth." 12 And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

God's not really breaking his word he said he wouldn't flood the earth again. In revelations Jesus is going to open the seven seals and unleash the four horseman, I don't think any of them use floods to kill us off.
