Very true, but that does not mean that God doesn't want us to turn away from sin.

James 2:14
Hebrews 12:14
Hebrews 6:1
1 Thessalonians 4:1
Colossians 3:5
Romans 9:12-14
Romans 6

Sorry was browsing His Word backwards.

The sins i still have trouble with are that i am too defensive i think (mainly because i am put in so many positions where i feel i have to be), there are some females i cannot help but have some lust for (i think i am close to conquering this), i smoke cigs ( i may be close to giving these up, but probably not), i have trouble confessing past sins (faith, courage, and wrong impression issue), and i still cuss at times. There may be a few more that i am not aware of at this time. Oh yea, still have a few beers now and then, definitely not an alcoholic.

Feel free to offer help or post your own so maybe you can receive help from others.

Jib or madnak, if this actually becomes an official thread or whatever, feel free to change the title.

Re: Romans 6:14

Since I was heavily involved in the church when I was younger (Nationally ranked bible quizzer FTW) and fully accepted and believed anything and everything I learned in church and accepted Christ and everything, I'm good to go forever yes?

This varies by denomination but personally I don't trust the "Once Saved Always Saved" doctrine. At the same time the denominational split on this reminds me of what Barth says about universalism which is that he can neither affirm or deny it.

Don Corner on the Evangelical Outreach site points out many Calvinism and Once Saved Always Saved flaws.

He was such a crazy bass player it got me to take up bass myself. His fingers flew.

Anyone know the name of that one song where its all instrumentals with him basically soloing the whole time?

Ironically I'm a fan of quite a few Christian bands. Pokinatcha was my first punk album ever when I accidentally got MxPx mixed up with AC/DC when buying my cousin a birthday present and I was hooked.
