Did anyone catch the episode of Catfish on MTV where this lady was talking to the dead parent of this college aged girl? He killed her mom and then committed suicide. It was pretty convincing and a pretty inspirational episode. Made me want to be a better person.

While I'm glad that the episode made you want to be a better person, if you're really serious about becoming a better person, stop watching MTV!

Well, I was watching Lifetime this morning when I stumbled across a show about near death experiences. Most were uplifting but one man, Tyrone, claims to have gone to the gates of Hell. He said God lifted him out of it and asked Tyrone to change his life and that he wouldn't be here after he died if he did so. I myself have lots of dreams about scary next life worlds so at the next commercial break I asked God what I could do to change my ways. The right side of my body, especially my head, got a warm fuzzy tingly sensation to it and I got this notion that I needed to give up poker. Crazy, eh? I was like, I can give up porn, but I am not sure if I can give up poker. What would I do with my free time? So that's what I'm battling with right now.

I compromised with myself tonight. I am playing online poker, but I am trying to be a better person while doing it. No more snarky comments, no more berating players, no more tom foolery. It's hard trying to become a better person, I find myself biting my tongue. But it's worth it. I actually said, "nh" out of the blue to a guy I was in a fierce flame war with on the site I play on, he didn't say anything back but it's a start.
