Anonymous gained notoriety starting in late 2010, when it claimed responsibility for denial-of-service attacks against the websites of Visa, MasterCard and PayPal. Those attacks involve overloading a computer network so it can't provide regular service. Anonymous said it was retaliating against the financial firms for refusing to process donations to WikiLeaks, the online organization that publicizes classified data from whistle-blowers and other anonymous sources.
LulzSec is known for taking down Sony's PlayStation Network in April 2011 for almost a month. The company said the hack cost it $170 million for the 2011 financial year.
"This was a huge black eye for Sony," said Jerry Brito, director of the Technology Policy Program and senior research fellow with the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. "A lot of CEOs who were oblivious to Internet security took notice."
Other attacks linked to Anonymous and its affiliates include defacing websites, hijacking Twitter accounts and stealing confidential data. One of the hacking suspects, Jeremy Hammond, a well-known Chicago hacker, was identified in the criminal complaint Tuesday as being involved in a breach at Stratfor, a geopolitical risk analysis firm. Hammond and others allegedly stole information for about 60,000 credit card users, made unauthorized charges of more than $700,000 and published a document with links to the stolen data on a file-sharing website.

Aging is a "pathological consequence." From a philosophical point of view "man could be a potentially immortal animal."*
* C. F. von Weizsacker, an internationally known biochemist, observed: "I see no biochemical reason why individuals should not be possible who would stay alive indefinitely, if not killed by force." [Relevance of Science, London, Collins, 1964, p.134].
'Natural' Death:
A Medical Fact Or Legal Fiction?
Chapter 1 of The Seed of the Woman
by Arthur C. Custance
Quote: What we are increasingly finding out from biological and medical research is that both senescence and even death itself almost certainly form no essential part of the process of being alive, that natural death is unknown to vast numbers of living things, that functioning protoplasm per se is in no way naturally subject to death. For animals below man, death seems to be a statistical probability rather than a biological necessity.
Physical immortality now emerges as a perfectly valid concept, and the phenomenon of death appears rather as an intrusion, something foreign to life even for man himself. It is true that man now dies inevitably.* Yet the evidence increasingly supports the view that death is no more "natural" for him than it is for millions of lower forms of life which simply go on living for ever if they are not killed. In man, death is more like a disease than a consequence of having lived.

Oh look I discovered another evolutionary position it's known as Catastrophism.
I'm linking to it for anyone curious:
THE PREPARATION OF THE EARTH FOR MAN by Arthur Custance
http://www.custance.org/Library/Volu...ace.html#Page2
Catastrophism is the theory that the Earth has been affected in the past by sudden, short-lived, violent events, possibly worldwide in scope.[1] The dominant paradigm of modern geology is uniformitarianism (sometimes described as gradualism), in which slow incremental changes, such as erosion, create the Earth's appearance. This view holds that the present is the key to the past, and that all things continue as they were from the beginning of the world. Recently a more inclusive and integrated view of geologic events has developed, changing the scientific consensus to accept some catastrophic events in the geologic past.- end wiki quote

"James explains the Law of Love" (or "Mercy triumphs over judgment.") by Dr. Stephen E. Jones
Quote:
"The mercy seat was positioned higher than the tables of the law and the manna in the Ark. So James tells us that mercy has a higher position than the law itself. This is not an excuse for lawlessness, nor even for abolishing all judgment. Instead, it indicates that there is a Mercy Factor that can alter the sentence of the law upon sinners."

Re: ****Official RGT Article Thread****
Christian quote:
"Anika Rahman and Nahid Toubia write that attempts in the early 20th century by colonial administrators to halt FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) succeeded only in provoking local anger. In Kenya, Christian missionaries in the 1920s and 1930s forbade their adherents from practising it—in part because of the medical consequences, but also because the accompanying rituals were seen as highly sexualized—and as a result it became a focal point of the independence movement among the Kikuyu, the country's main ethnic group. One American missionary, Hilda Stump, was murdered in January 1930 after speaking out against it."
Muslim quote:
"Asim Zaki Mustafa argues that the common attribution of the procedure to Islam is unfair because it is a much older phenomenon. While individual Muslims, Christians, and Jews practise FGM, it is not a requirement of any religious observance. Judaism requires circumcision for boys, but does not allow it for girls. Islamic scholars have said that, while male circumcision is a sunna, or religious obligation, female circumcision is not required, and several have issued a fatwa against Type III FGM."
Quotes from the wikipedia article that shows FGM is being misattributed to monotheistic religions through a lack of critical thinking and research into this topic. People tend to lump all religions together and not do the research. They just accept whatever negative scuttlebutt is being proffered as the truth instead of investigating into the topic.

Does God Have Civil Rights? by John Piper
http://www.desiringgod.org/resource-...e-civil-rights
Quote:
The 14th amendment says that “no State shall deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.” Thus these fundamental rights are rooted in personhood – personal being. We may deprive bugs of life, liberty, and property because they do not have personal being. Humans are persons because we are created in the image of God who is a Person.
