Aw c'mon... I didn't attack you for being a Christian. I simply asked how old you thought the earth was and it deteriorated from there because you kept avoiding the question and even created new ones.

You have to realize that posting here isn't just for personal therapy. Other people actually read what you write. Before they can decide whether to take you seriously, they have a right to know if you made a mistake or are really that ignorant on a particular subject. That's not to say I'm not ignorant on a lot of things. But I'm always willing to answer questions about something I write. And if I'm wrong, I'll admit it.

Steven Hawking is one of the most brilliant geniuses to ever live. He and his peers (other physicists and scientists) believe that Earth is somewhere around 5 billion years old. They believe that the Universe is somewhere around 15 billion years old.

1. Do you think Steven Hawkings is unable to correctly figure out these approximations of Earth's age?

2. What do you think of these numbers in general? How do they relate to you as a Christian?

3. If these guys don't possess the knowledge to come up with these numbers, who does in your opinion? And why?

Thank you.

P.S. If you answer these questions, I will never again respond to one of your posts in a sarcastic or immature way.
Spoiler:

I put that on God! J/K J/K J/K I couldn't help myself
I just want to point out that the age of the earth is not just a cosmological question. It's a geography question, an archeology question, a biology question, and more. All these different branches of science would have to be completely dead wrong for the true age of the earth to be anywhere near 6k years old.

But it seems that Gunth has conceded the earth is much older than 6k years. He just won't explain how god then created it as we know it 6k years ago.
