The example in Matthew 5 is specific to face slapping but I think the spirit of what is being taught here translates into many arenas of life. Loving ones enemies and extending forgiveness to those that harm you is superior to retaliation. “Spineless” puts a negative spin on what is a key biblical concept. Forgiveness is a better path than retaliation.
