Maybe the people who believe these things (as people really do, I didn't invent them) have a convincing rationale, but does that actually mean that we must concede that they are rational?

Sure lots of people are religious, but if as far as I can tell there is not a compelling reason to believe that any particular supernatural religious narrative is factual and accurate, why should I concede that it is never-the-less reasonable just because other people believe it it?
What part(s) of the Congo did you visit?

I ask out of genuine curiosity, given the style of argument you're making there. The answer might be related to what we're discussing, as well as the title of this thread.
