Re: Could all religions lead to the same God?

Show your evidence. Find the scientific paper indicating any relationship between psychological trauma and atheism. You can't do it. It is empty speculation of the worst kind.

It is?

I'm just acting like a scientist exploring a hypothesis.

For a lot of people Jesus Christ is the solution to personal trauma. People are always claiming him for personal peace.

Why would anyone reject a peace offer? Isn't peace always the most rational course of action.

If it isn't, present your evidence. Thus for you have presented none.

Jesus has to exist first in order for him to offer anything. That doesn't count as evidence.

Uh huh.

The old atheist fall back position that keeps you securely in the grip of unbelief.

How do you know God didn't design it this way so you seek Him on your own?

Imagine you've been seeking him with a negative bias. Aren't you negating in advance anything he'd personally show you?

He's a fisherman, isn't he?

Don't fishermen use lures before they net you?

Aren't lures often made of metal?

Shouldn't we go for the gold, instead of silver?

Are there very many lures made of gold?

NO! So how can God be a fisherman, then?!?@

I am confused. I asked for evidence of your "atheists have psychological trauma" claim. Is this supposed to be it?

I don't have to prove anything.

It's obvious. If you ask anybody including atheists to give a true account of their lives then they are bound to recount troubles and obstacles along with their successes and troubles include difficulties like traumas or things that scared them. Unless they're on a date or trying to impress someone.

What's the difference between success and failure? What you focus on and think in your own mind is the difference because it determines how you react to it.

All Christians have a psychological disorder that makes them unable to face the reality of death. They're too scared to face the truth. It's obvious.

Whew, it sure feels good to be able to spout whatever I like without having to back it up. It's definitely easier.

Actually I would say Christians are trained to be more fearless than other groups.

Faith is a ballast. Ballasts are used for all kinds of buoyancy and stability purposes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballast

Do you think everyone on here is retarded? Why on earth would you include a wiki for ballasts? It's like you have some sort of link quota you have to get through.

Re: Could all religions lead to the same God?

Yup. And a track_ballast is under railroad tracks and is typically made of crushed stone.

Isn't the crushed stone the stone that the builders rejected?
Doesn't that mean that atheists are like that stone under the railroad?>
