My aunt has recently talk to me about meditating. And some interesting theory that i recall interesting to me and is also new information to my mind. Im gonna state every single statement she has made to me which like i said is new to me and would like to know if anybody Has experienced this, practices this or has any clue about this.

-We live in a dream which we have to wake up from
-We are the internal light reflecting God
-People are mirrors in which we see our reflection
-We cant feed our egos
-We have to change our egotistic thoughts to feed our soul and not our artificial self

Sounds like your typical hazy&pretty statements meant to convey some sort of general mood more than any actual facts. They are typically dubbed "spiritual" so that calling it out as nonsensical makes people look mean and dubiously materialistic.

I recommend taking up an interest in poetry instead, it is just as pretty and doesn't come with all the baggage. Well, as long as you don't read Bukowski... 'cause he's just mean.

Certain Cannabis sativa strains (eg Shaman) are sometimes reported to be psychedelic. Abstract or philosophical thinking, disruption of linear memory and paranoia or anxiety. Anxiety is the most commonly reported side effect of smoking marijuana. Between 20 and 30 percent of recreational users experience intense anxiety and/or panic attacks after smoking cannabis.[26]
if we all made RGT threads every time our fav aunt got high and made us listen to what she thinks is a breakthrough in philosophy .... well, nvm, RGT would be about the same.

ironic that waking up involves sleep or death

agree, but I'd rather not personify god. Personifications of the universe personifying the universe is only natural but it is wrong.

I don't think we have to do anything, and other than that this sentence makes the least sense.

Oh, I would have written the same even if you had 5k posts in this forum... well... given that after 5k posts you would have a history as a poster writing threads worth opening.

Other than that, Welcome to RGT.

The underlying theme is that ‘you’ are not that which you are aware of. What you’re aware of, like your body or your thoughts, is not you; they’re reflections. So imagine there’s a mirror out there with your image as the only thing illuminated: when you raise your arm the image raises its arm, when you move it moves, etc., and that’s all you see. Further, imagine your reflection in the mirror is all you know, meaning that you don’t know there’s a you here and a mirror there, but you believe the reflection is you. I don’t know if that makes any sense to you, but that’s roughly how I’d describe ‘the dream’ using the terms provided, anyway.

The dream is that there is a you that exists. You wake up from that dream when you see that you dont exist. Meditation is a way of doing this, as proper meditation is a way of looking at reality with more and more detail and awareness. Meditation where you just sit and do nothing is useless though.
