Re: Biblical Archaeology

An archaeology find: the Ebla tablets. Ebla is an ancient language similar to Hebrew and the tablets predate the Mosaic period. A number of biblical towns mentioned in the Old Testament are also mentioned by name in the tablets:

Re: Biblical Archaeology

It really is like a blog of websites that she comes across. No discussion required. Actually, she usually says "this is not a debate thread".

Re: Biblical Archaeology

This is a depository evidence thread and I hope some day some Christians will deposit more evidence in it for everyone to review.

Of course the Christians who like to do Apologetics most like to see things like this. They can gain inspiration from it and it is so specialized it doesn't occur to the average person that this type of evidence even exists.

This is a poker forum that Christian debaters happen to frequent and they like to see biblically relevant things.

Re: Biblical Archaeology

An Egyptian paper claims that archaeologists have discovered ancient Egyptian coins bearing the name and image of the Biblical Joseph.

An article on it from Voice of the Copts: http://voiceofthecopts.org/en/archeo..._in_egypt.html

Re: Biblical Archaeology

Recent excavations have revealed a shrine to the King of Gods; Zeus. Ritual activities are believed to have taken place there beginning around 3400 years ago and continued for 1500 years.
