But We know... we know. You know the truth because you say so. And you're amazed that when you tell people that you know the truth, and then convince absolutely no one with your argument that "the Bible is true because I say it is true... after all, it says so in the Bible" that most people conclude you must be an atheist making fun of theists.

Luckily you're too arrogant to ever consider that you're wrong or recognize that you provide nothing more then comic relief. You're in a unique league of intellects; Gunth, Splendour and you.
Funny, you happen to mention 3 people that are Christians who have the spirit of God in them which enables them to think not only on your level but above your level.

As for arrogance, I am confident not arrogant, there is a major difference.

I can prove what I say, because I believe the word of God and act upon it, you cant see the proof even though its there because you do not want to take the action required to see the proof, like any normal scientist who is logical would do.

They all know that certain actions have to be taken to produce results/proofs.

But you and all the other atheists on this forum for some reason when it comes to the word of God, convienently lose those logical common sense type of thinking patterns and they are shelved in a place that seems to be ignored.

Its this lack of honesty that really makes it easy to see who is and who is not serious about learning the truth and knowing or finding out about God.

You say it was a great political move, I don't know why?

Also Constantine was pivotal for Christianity, he made it legal, otherwise Christians would have been persecuted a great deal more, instead it flourished. To claim the man is a saint is wrong, but to claim that he was actually *bad* for Christianity is just right out.

I think idolatry is the actual *worshipping* of idols, you say it is idolatry if you build an idol.

Jews and Muslims support your belief of no icons. God is spirit and since they have about the same understanding of the Father as you they say it's idolatrous to make images of Him.

Those Christians who believe in the Trinity think God came to Earth and took flesh (incarnation), and Jesus the Son showed us the face of God the Father, so we can make icons of God while knowing that we cannot ever capture the divine in an image.

I think I finally realized the correlation of not believing in the trinity and calling icons idolatrous.

My order of authority:

1. God
2. The word of God
It's funny because I just became Catholic two months ago after a few years of searching for the Truth.

My order of authority is:
(all tied, God is not listed since all three come from God)
1. Sacred Scripture
1. Sacred Tradition
1. Living Magisterium

All three support one another and can never be contradictory. Of course the greatest authority is God, who has divinely inspired the authors of sacred scripture and leads the Church into all truths.

We do not worship the Pope. We recognize him as the successor of the Apostle Peter, who was the first Pope, and who serves the Church.

Actually the POPE sits on top of it all, meaning his word goes above the written word of God. You know thats true. Its also very obvious.

Most Catholics do worship the Pope.

The apostle Peter was not the leader of the christian church Paul was.

Paul recieved the greatest revelation ever given to a man. He was intrusted with the Mystery, the administration (time period) of Grace which we still live in.

Jesus Christ called Paul to lead the christian believers, thats why you have all the books written by Paul and not Peter.

Paul wrote:
Romans
I Corinthians
II Corinthians
Galatians
Ephesians
Philippians
Colossians
I Thessalonians
II Thessalonians
I Timothy
II Timothy
Titus
Philemon
Hebrews (which is debated by some)

Peter wrote:
I Peter
II Peter

Peter was a great man also but was called to specifically lead the Church of Jerusalem, the jews of that time who had converted to Christianity.

There were no Popes until Constantine whom was truly the first Pope.

Isn't it strange how everyone objects when you cut through all the bs with a little straight talk?

Don't answer. The question was rhetorical.

saying it means its true! Odd that pretty much EVERYONE else on the forum who comes across the three think the three are either a joke, an idiot or crazy. And let's be clear, this includes other believers.

Wow, an arrogant person who doesn't think he's arrogant. Who would have thunk it.

No you can't. You are probably the least capable person on the forum of proving anything. Period. Plenty have taken the action required. You simply decide that because they don't agree with you, they're doing it wrong. Arrogance.

Please stop saying "atheists." Most everyone thinks you're a joke. No reason to narrow it down to athiests. And please don't criticize logic since you rely entire on circular reasoning.

There's really no lack of honesty except with your intellectual integrity.

Remember, Pletho isn't arrogant.

Here, he's telling a Catholic that he knows more about what Catholics believe then they do.

That Catholic tells him he doesn't worship the Pope, and Pletho tells him he's wrong.

What a waste of time. The perfect combination of ignorance and arrogance.

No offense kurto, but you really don't have anything to offer on this subject accept your hate, which is not wanted.

Speaking of someones hate as you hate on the Pope is pretty funny, good one.
06-17-2010 , 12:28 PM
Gunth likes to talk about "hate" a lot, but the only hate I'm seeing is this thread is Gunth and Pletho hating on the Pope, and Splendour hating on coherence.

My advice is to just let the theists battle it out for once. Then they will realize what a kook the three horsemen of RGT really are.

I don't necessarily hate the pope. But i do hate some of their actions.

I love dknightx and kurto. I wish i can hug them and give them noogies. But i hate that they mostly just post insults.

Dknightx you don't see hate when atheists hate on theists because your mind is too preoccupied with cheering them on.

That line of thought is getting old.

If a Christian hates he hates the actions. An atheists hates its because he is full of hate. GG.

wow. A picture of someone kissing the Pope's hand?!?!? That must mean worship!!

You CANNOT be as stupid as you appear. Seriously, you are the dumbest person this forum has ever seen. And this isn't hate; its amazement and shock. I'm surprised you can turn on a computer.

I know I shouldn't grunch, but am I the only one who thinks that, if this is an act of God, then it is more a commentary on the legitimacy of spending $250M on a tacky statue of Jesus playing football instead of a sign of the end times?

Wait... he's not actually playing football, right? Its just a similar pose.

I am pretty sure if Jesus was real he'd be pretty pissed at any church spending $250 million dollars on an idol when that money could do a hell of a lot of good for poor people.

Though I think a segment of American Christianity thinks that wealth and its display is, somehow, fitting with Jesus philosophy.

Yeah.

Yeah, but one would think they would reconsider given, you know, an act of God. I mean, this is the "and if I am wrong then may lightning strike me down" contingent. But when lightning does strike, the very last thing they seem to think is "maybe this is a sign that I should sit back and reconsider my priorities."

The statue cost $250,000 -- not $250,000,000.

Still a ridiculous amount of money to spend on something so useless. How many families could they have fed and clothed with that money?

No kurto, it is hate along with complete lack of knowledge regarding God's Word.

I love how you conveniently miss the other picture i posted too. Seriously man, get real, you are only hurting yourself.

The other picture is people on their knees praying with a picture of the Pope in the background.

I remember once kneeling at a funeral and bowing my head before a casket. On the wall was a B&W picture of a family I didn't know.

Apparently, Gunth would conclude I worshipped either the corpse or the people in the photo.

Two things- One, go finish highschool.
second- you promised several times to ignore me. Why do you lie? You insult Jesus with your every post.
