I've had a fair amount of dealings with Mormons. They are very friendly and respectful people. The only downside is that if you are a non-Mormon (of any kind) and would like to do business in a Mormon community, you are generally SOL unless you have a VERY specific skill set that they can't find somewhere inside the community.
When I did a construction project in Mesa, Arizona (the second largest Mormon community outside of SLC), everyone was very quick to point out who the "acceptable" (and very Mormon) contractors were that would be bidding on the project.
