Re: ***Official Staking Request Thread: Use this thread to ask for/offer stakes***
Umm, I guess I'll give it a shot as well, whats the worst that could happen, other than utter embarrassment.
I'm a regular at the 90 person turbo KO sngs on FTP. My sn is dlong226 on full tilt, nemui on stars, vcai15 (formerly) on paradise. The stats for FTP are a little skewed because they don't count KOs, which are 20% of the buyin. I probably average a KO or two every tournament. I recently moved up to the 26's and have had difficulty getting a top 3 spot. Its mostly variance and sample size for why I'm not winning right now. But thats not the problem, I'm rolled for the 26's.
The real tournaments I'm interested for stakes are for live tournaments in LA. I'm turning 21 in a couple weeks and I'm looking for staking for the live tournaments with buyins ranging from 75-200 dollars. The live tournaments at casinos play to my strength as I'm competent at turbo tournaments with smaller fields.
The staking arrangement could last anywhere from 1 tournament to the whole summer. I'm very open minded, honest, and dedicated. I've never degen busted my roll or anything like that. I've just been slowly building my roll. The only reason I'm looking for a stake is because I'm not rolled for the games yet.
You can sharkscope me or OPR me. Just keep in mind neither takes into acct for KO's.
You can PM me for details. I'm also available for a live meeting if you live in the LA area.

03-Jul 54 10000 140
I’m selling action in all the prelims at 1.3 and the main at 1.4. Up to 40-60% in the prelims and 65% of my main action. If you are interested let me know. Selling in 1%+ blocks.
Online record stars
Online record FTP (old sn is fijgn_swe)
Online record OnGame
Live record
I am also vice president of the biggest college poker society in UK (lol, local celebrity) but as a consequence I play live poker at least one time a week, often twice on trips to local casinos. I've also won various tournaments at my local casinos with zoo-like standards much similar to how I anticipate the WSOP to be.
I'm sorting it now because I have exams and then i'm straight on a plane.
If you need someone to vouch for me there are various 2+2ers who will.
If I don't play an event i'll transfer money back (obviously).

Re: ***Official Staking Thread: Ask for/Offer stakes (100 strat post minimum to post)
I believe that a staking thread is not effective if serious potential backers have to dig through a ton of scammers and unknowns in order to find a horse.
I have gone through this thread and edited out all of the posts made by unknown posters and I have also deleted a lot of the side conversations that erupted.
I will attempt to keep this thread in the future. Please notify me if you want me to address a specific post.

Re: ***Official Staking Thread: Ask for/Offer stakes (100 strat post minimum to post)
On that note.
Stake your mod for the WSOP!: I am interested in discussing proposals from a single backer who would like to take all of my WSOP action or from people who are interested in buying pieces.
I was initially going to try to find a single backer to put me into the whole event but a few people have already come to me expressing interest in buying pieces so I am going to explore that option too. If I sold shares I would like to sell them at $10,000 each though I might consider selling half shares if there was interest.
The Tournaments: I would like to play all of the NLHE/PLHE events. I believe that I am easily in the top 10% of each field and that my ROI in each of those events is rather massive.
I also have some interest in playing PLO, while I think that I am +ev in a PLO event my edge isn't nearly as high as what it is in hold'em. I will probably play the PLO events on my own but if my backer wanted to buy me in for a higher percentage of proceeds (with makeup) then I would explore that option too.
I am looking to play in ~23 tournaments with an estimated combined buy in of $70,000. But I would be willing to play up to 32 tournaments ($100,000) or possibly as few as 13 tournaments ($47,000).
Why should you invest in Cornell Fiji?: If you read HSMTT you know that I am in the top 10% of expected ROI in any WSOP nlhe field. My understanding of the game rivals anyone.
I have been hired to write a book on HSMTTs (which should be out by September) and the book will be the most cutting edge tournament literature every written (not that that really says much tbh.) I excel at taking advantage of first level thinkers ('tourists'), and also at analyzing and setting up those who are operating on a much higher level. Obviously, I can also do equity calculations, ICM analysis, and pushbotting, squeezebotting, trapping, and just generally take +EVmax lines at every opportunity in my sleep.
I have been taking time off from playing as I write my book and pursue other business interests but I have remained an active participant in the HSMTT forums and I am a firm believer that when going into a tournament grind like the WSOP it is best to come in off of an extended vacation rather than an extended grind.
I am primarily looking to enter into a relationship from people who already know that I am +ev from our conversations on the game but I would entertain opportunities from people who have been referred to me or who I do not know as well (especially if you come with references).
Integrity: My integrity is beyond reproach. I have dozens of references who can vouch for me if you would like further reassurance.
Additionally, I will take my responsibilities to my backers very seriously. I am not going to the WSOP for a good time; I am going to the WSOP to win. I am not going to play cash games if I bust (though I might play juicy satellites as negotiated) and I am not going to be going to the Rhino every night. I love to party and I love Vegas but during the WSOP I will be there to make money.
Contact me for more info: If we entered into an agreement we would of course have a contract written up to everyone's satisfaction.
If you are interested in talking about details please PM me within the next week.

Re: ***Official Staking Thread: Ask for/Offer stakes (100 strat post minimum to post)
I'm looking for a stake for the upcoming WSOP. I'd be open to play in some of the Venetian and Caesers events as well. Would prefer to enter into an agreement with someone I've met before. However, I'm open to deal with someone that I haven't met but is a respected and trustworthy person. I'll be in Vegas from May 29th until I bust from the Main Event.
My live results, http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=7831,3 have been limited but that's due to the fact that 99% of my play is online. I played in ~10 mtt's in Vegas last year and cashed 3 of them including, 5th in event #21. You can watch the entire final table here, http://www.worldseriesofpoker.com/ws....asp?v=16&mv=1. I'll warn you that it's painfully boring as I was card dead.
I've recently switched from sng's to cash. My sharkscope graphs are pretty sexy, beastiemik on FTP and beastiemiked on Stars. PM if you want to see my cash results. I don't play that many online mtt's as I'd rather concentrate on other games where there's a lot less variance and more money to be made.
I'm sure I'm hugely EV in almost every WSOP event. The play that I saw last year was laughably bad. The $1500 NL events probably play the same as $10 online tournaments. I feel not playing in them is giving money away but at the same time I don't quite have the bankroll to stomach some of the swings.

Re: ***Official Staking Thread: Ask for/Offer stakes (100 strat post minimum to post)
Hi folks,
Im interested in some WSOP staking... I had planned on coming out for the 5k 6max event and just playing some of the last events myself, but having found this forum if anyone would be interested in taking action over the course of the WSOP (or in the higher buyin events only) then I would like to hear from you.
As you may know Im a CardRunners pro, I mainly do sng and mixed games vids for them but im an all rounder and do pretty well at mid-hi stakes NL cash and toureys too. In terms of MTTs I play a very limited online schedule (especially in the last year) but have still chopped the Sunday Million, won a $100r for 50k and won almost every mixed game tourney amongst other results. Most recently I made the last 8 in the FTOPS $500 HU before getting coolered and then sucked out on for a bit under 10k. Ive been having a spell of making the last couple tables and getting unlucky a lot recently but i assume my long term ROI online is still 50-100%. Live I have some decent results from when i used to travel the Euro circuit more and one tv final in a UK made for TV event. I think id be massively +EV in most of the NLH/Mixed games events but just dont really fancy risking 50-100k with all the variance inherent in tourneys. However the idea of a whole summer in vegas sounds pretty fun too and i think it would make a sound investment for any of the bigger backers/syndicates, so if you want to arrange something then holla.
cheers
Phil

Re: ***Official Staking Thread: Ask for/Offer stakes (100 strat post minimum to post)
I am a 21 year old college in Auburn right now and unlike most people looking for a stake I am certainly not busto right now. I have had a fair share of good luck along with improving my game which has resulted in wins in the Fifty Fifty on Stars and the 3-Rebuy two night ago. While I am now essentially rolled for the bigger tournaments it is really out of my RL bankroll to play this high of stakes without a backing deal.
What I am looking for is a potential staking deal for any tournament from the $109+ FO and $22R (would want some approval and some evaluation before going any higher). So obviously the goal would be potential staking for the Sunday Majors. I have been an active 2p2 member for a couple years now with most all of my posting being done in SSMTT. If you have any questions of inquiries please let me know and I am sure I can find plenty of people to vouch for me as being legit as I have hosted several Challenges in the MTT Community.
My OPR
Please Let me know if you are interest in backing me or know of another potential backers.
Quick note while I am looking mainly for a long term deal I would be interested in possibly doing one of the sunday majors tomorrow as I am considering playing anyways.

p.s if anyone wants to buy shares over a predetermined no of events for at least 5k a go that might also be worth discussing further...

I was browsing this thread as I am looking for backers, and I would just like to mention than Cornell is by far my favorite poster in HSMTT, and I have never played with him but feel that he is one hell of a poker player.

Re: ***Official Staking Thread: Ask for/Offer stakes (100 strat post minimum to post)
Ok this was a long read, I sent a few PM's but I'll post here too.
I'm looking for a long term backing deal for middle stakes/high stakes mtts.
Here is my OPR.
I do not play on full tilt, but my sn there is snoringbeagl.
My name before I turned 18 was notchineseAQ. I think I won a $22 donkament on there or something.
and if it were not for K4>88 for 50bb at a big final table, there would be lots more profit
I have lots of references, there are a few frequent well known posters that can vouch for my integrity, playing ability, and could even tell you where I lived if you ever needed to know. I have done a few successful transfers in the high stakes transfer thread. I can put in huge volume. I have many strategy posts in HSMTT, and read as much as I can about tournament poker as possible. I have watched the phil ivey / paul jackson bluff over and over again. I might have seen it 500 times.
Tomorrow, I will be 20 years old. I need a backing deal because I want to play as many medium/high stakes mtts for the next year as possible, because I want to get some big scores under my belt and become a better player before I head to the WSOP. I really, really, really want to win a braclet. As of now my roll cannot handle running bad in $200 mtts every sunday and the 100k every night, let alone all the NLHE events at the series. I could grind cash or sngs, I used to, but it's just not as fun for me as tournaments are. I really really like tournament poker, and want to keep playing and improving.
As far as how the staking deal would work out, I wouldn't mind at all starting off at a 70/30 or 80/20 deal until I have played x amount of tournaments and have proven to you that I can play and I am not going to steal your money.
I'm not sure what else to say. If you want my references, just PM me and I can give you their 2p2 names and AIM's. also if you have any questions or on the off chance that anyone actually wants to do business, PM me for my AIM or my cell #.

Re: ***Official Staking Thread: Ask for/Offer stakes (100 strat post minimum to post)
Hey all,
I'm fairly new to 2p2, and though I probably have the requisite number of strat posts, they're likely all in the omaha forum, since that's pretty much all I've played since last August. What I'm looking for though is a stake to play in the $11 and $22 180-man sng's on Pokerstars. I play as "bdcfcp" there.
A little bit about me - I'm 29yrs old, live with my fiancee and her two kids, planning a wedding for October. I have a full time job as well, so poker is a leisure/spare time activity for me. Though I don't have many posts here, I do have >7k at fullcontactpoker (under the same sn), and several people (known to 2p2 as well) that would vouch for my credibility.
I've never played on a stake before, but would be willing to discuss terms with a pretty open mind. What I'm looking for is I think on the "smaller" scale in terms of stakes - maybe for 10-20 sng's per week, depending on the wishes of the backer. I'd like this to be profitable and enjoyable for the backer as well. I will always err on the side of things being fair and equitable and will hold myself to the highest standard imaginable in terms of honesty and integrity.
I'll post a screenshot of my sharkscope results - I don't have a membership to be able to filter the results, maybe someone that does have one can help me out. Anyway, it's not a huge sample and I haven't played the 180's for quite some time now, but a 55% roi over 260 games with an average stake of $12 and total profit of $2300 should show that I'm at least somewhat competant overall as a player (I hope). OPR shows me with a 120% roi for 2006 ($3,375 total cashes, $1,841 profit) and 58% roi for 2007 ($3,960 cashes, $1,446 profit)
Link to OPR
If there's anything I've left out or that you'd like to know, please feel free to pm me.
Thanks.

figured Id quote this since it's closer to WSOP time. Anyone interested but skeptical can PM bobbofitos or pasterbater and ask about me.

Looks like my post was deleted in this purge. Happily, I just won a Main Event seat on FTP. I guess I'll go over to BAP.
Having read through many posts in this thread, I actually do agree with Steve. Looks like the guidelines are much more explicit as of last week. Good job!
