Shortest Answer:
Myself - $500-600
Said Backer - $1,930 (While not in makeup, repayment to him is my top priority.)

Longer Answer:
I gambled as a kid. Didn't save... I played Cribbage, Blackjack, Gin Rummy, Craps, 5 & 7 Card Draw, & Stud all though Middle School & into High School. About 8th grade I became super serious with loving the poker life after seeing "Maverick", though some of my earliest memories were/are playing cards with my grandfather for peanut butter saltine crackers. Really got into flop games & Crazy Pineapple around 97-98. By late 2000/2001 I was really digging in on Paradise Poker. Small games, but loved all the multi-tier tourneys for pro entries. Honed deep MTT experience.

ALL Online Poker is illegal in Wa. Played many daily live tourneys for $25-35 & weekly $130's when I ran good. So in total earnings, I'd say $13.5K-$14.5K. After taxes, not keeping a dedicated bankroll, using/mixing for life expenses, not to mention the ongoing buy-ins when I wasn't working 90 hour weeks. I stand by that I only really took that initial $500-600 loss. Wish like hell I kept better records.

Knowing what I know now, I have a complete different approach & respect for the work. I can sustain; & earn. Period. I don't have a bankroll to swing $35 entries for a $520 pay-out to first... I can do amazing things with that same $35 online.

Yes; TMI... Gather your ammo boys. *grins*

A lot of people are buying up other people's action for the WSOP. I think you should go post in the Live Event Staking section. Post some of your results there and see if anyone wants to buy a piece of the action. Good luck!!!

Re: I am seeking an unlikely staking deal... Just a "feeler", but seriously open...

Still Looking: Open to deals, contracts, terms, considerations, a loan, etc...

I've given a gentleman two months now to come through. He hasn't. (Talk about loyalty... Isn't this a showing of being committed & dedicated?) Every time, I'm about to walk, he dangles another carrot in/out front which makes me assume he is actually interested & we are finally moving forward. I'm left feeling rather short, empty, & even a little angry every-time we e-mail/speak (or don't). Shouldn't be this hard... He has been my best/only option till now. Shouldn't be feeling like this, as I am a next-to "no tilt player". Yes; you read that right...

Seems the more of his lack of considerations, the better I run. Yes; I've been criticized for posting "Play Money" results, but it's all I have... I am staying frosty.

Last Eight 45s:
5 Cashes. 2nd (1x), 3rd (2x), 4th (2x)

Small Sample: I know.

I will work like this; & only harder. Again; I was pretty much forced to play this hand/keep this thread going as per my 16 staking requests/inquiries, I only had two replies. (I get it; & understand.) Bottom line, you are taking a big chance on me & bigger bottom line, I'm taking bigger on you.

As for flippin' crap about my 180s statement... It was taken/read out of context. I will play any game at any buy-in. No expectations set at all, just my run good & the results I will deliver you. I want to wake up & have a good feeling about who I am working with; & want to feel blessed that they gave me that chance. The work starts here. Now.

While I may be a risky investment, I might just be one of the better you've made/make. Time will prove itself... If interest; you know what to do. Also backer/banker mentioned in first post is doing independent financial software & may be in the picture September/October. I'd like to work sooner, but he is pretty sure that he'll buy makeup/loan (should you not want to continue or he may run a separate x package with your permission. In which case, I'd pay you out of my cut.) I don't share this to sell myself, but so you know there is an "exit option" & you will not take on loss with me. If so, the smallest of swings...

Thank You.

Re: I am seeking an unlikely staking deal... Just a "feeler", but seriously open...

Last/Only Posting for July... (After this, I'm completely letting it fade away.)

Dumped the screwball yesterday who had kept my hopes up the last two months with his hot air...

Got confirmation that I will be backed by "Banker" (1st Post) come Mid-August.

Would like to be in Rosa; set up & grinding before end of WSOP. I am now only looking for a quick short term loan/stake he will be buying out... (I'm okay with waiting now since he's in my corner 300% committed.)

What would be in it for you? I will give 95% of my total earnings to you until he takes over. Also; at a later date, we'll be doing large packages... I'll give you first right of option/refusal before posting in the "Market Place". Seems like a fair deal??? You keep 95% (even after/if you are repaid in full early) until he is in the picture... I won't be in makeup, but worst-case, he'll pay that too.

Please Note: This is only "Face Value". There will be no mark-up or premium to turn me over/let me go. (This is a Temp Gig.) You keep 95%; & we all walk away very happy.

Thank You.

I'm bad at math. What is 95% of $0?

HOW TO BE SOMEBODY

*Talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

*Make all your friends feel there is something special in them.

*Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best.

*Be enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

*Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

*Give everyone a smile.

*Spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to criticize others.

*Be too big for worry and too noble for anger.

Re: I am seeking an unlikely staking deal... Just a "feeler", but seriously open...

Still looking to "Lock In" a potential Plan B or Back-Up Plan.
Keeping in regular touch with "Banker", but uncertain it is still a go for/by August...
Staying prepped, working hard, & building a portfolio. (May or may not be taken serious; as unfortunately, only have "Play Money" Tourneys available to me.) Decided to share just cause; & whatever exposure may be a good thing for future potential backers/investors to know where I'm at; & what I'm about, should I sell "Big Sunday Action"?

44 Cashes / 104 Tourneys - July 2012 (As of 7/21) - "Play Money" 45s
ITM: 42%

1st: xxxx
2nd: xxxxxxxx
3rd: xxxxxxxxxxxxx
4th:
5th: xxxxx
6th: xxxxxxx
7th: xxxxxxx

Note: For what it's worth, I'm only playing "casual" & few/far between Tourneys. Of course the volume, pace, & intensity will improve with actual funds. I play to win, but you all must know the difference in dynamics vs. "Real Fund" play. My Three-Way game is strong, but could use some work in these "Free" SNGs.

Thank You.

Re: I am seeking an unlikely staking deal... Just a "feeler", but seriously open...

Thanks for the read . Everything you ask for is completely unrealistic. If you really want to play poker, come up with a tiny sum of money, go to the marketplace and get somebody to xfer you $20 on Merge in exchange for a bank xfer. I started with $40 while I was still in High School, and that's a pretty normal start for most pros. Surely you can come up with some money and prove to people that you can win, given how strong you claim your work ethic to be. There's a big difference in talking about working hard, and actually taking the time to analyze and improve your game. Also, if you really can beat the 180s at the rate you suggest, I'd be interested in receiving coaching. It's like you think people who have been doing this for awhile haven't put in any work. I can guarantee you anyone breaking even at $1 180s is a far better investment than you. If not, prove us wrong, save some money, grind on your own, and reap the benefits and laugh at us for having past up a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Re: I am seeking an unlikely staking deal... Just a "feeler", but seriously open...

Thank You All for the kind words & support...

My eventual hope is to keep another blog/rail/thread in a different forum on the 2+2 site. Have many many goals & challenges with; & for poker. At the same time, it is not an end-game, answer, or only destination for me. At the moment, it is primarily about having the availability & opportunity to play.

As with everything, words have intentions, perceptions, interpretations, & can be completely be subjective. Many have formed their opinions... I'm okay with that.

Again, ONLINE POKER is NOT LEGAL in WASHINGTON STATE. Many play, but I will not. It carries a "Class C" Felony charge/penalty...

I am at a place in my life where I can afford to not be tied down, have roots, or determined plans. Mexico is the cheapest, & best option for me. I can barely afford to move to any other US State right now; & if so, couldn't afford to risk low income on a US site with smaller prize pools. I'd rather follow the "Gold Rush".

I do believe in hard work & dedication. I am not looking for a handout. Desperately want to do this on my own & prove myself as all who came before. I admire & respect all those currently "doing", no matter how they got there. To have success in poker, you need to catch lightning or run insanely good at some point.

It was never my intention to mislead, misspeak, or talk down, on anyone. Any player "working" is lucky in my eyes. The basic point was I know what I do; & how well I could do it full time. I'm not looking for a "Pro" title or to reach "Legendary" status. Want to get to Mexico, build a 3K sample size, drink an occasional beer, & watch sunsets.

I am not about proving people or the community wrong. Probably not much laughing from me either... Benefits? Loneliness & isolation? We all sacrifice for what we love. Yes; there are countless individuals who are a better investment. The post was originally intended for someone with the funds/means (a whale or professional, if you will) looking for someone like me. I'm shy on the results now, but that won't always be the case. Someone that knows what they are doing/making a career out of "Backing" may want to use a one-time on someone like me.

To break it down:

Easiest way to think about it when deciding whether or not to pull the trigger is: "Who else will work harder than any banker, agent, broker, trader, or other investor to put my money to work for $3 an hour???" (In the beginning.)

That was the point all along.

Run Good All...

Re: I am seeking an unlikely staking deal... Just a "feeler", but seriously open...

For those still following along...

Six more days til' I get the "Official" News/Plans for when it's a go... Been one hell of a long month in the wait.

Not much I can do, but play cards. Unfortunately; the biggest tourneys available to me are the 45s... More bad news; I've fallen 3%.

Current:

58 Cashes / 148 Tourneys - July 2012 (As of 7/27) - "Play Money" 45s
ITM: 39%

1st: xxxx 4
2nd: xxxxxxxxxx 10
3rd: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 15
4th: xx 2
5th: xxxxxxx 7
6th: xxxxxxxxxx 10
7th: xxxxxxxxxx 10

Shy of 233 Buy-Ins thus far on the month.

Objective:

Run better... Make more moments.

***

Til' Next Time...
