I'm seeking a backer for WSOP tournaments this summer. My name is Michael Howell and I currently live in Las Vegas playing 1/3 and 2/5.

My poker story: I became obsessed after luck-boxing through a $11 bovada tourney 5 years ago when I was in college. The idea of playing professionally and having so much freedom appealed to me far more than using my degree to work for a big biotech company, so soon after I graduated I took $3k (mostly from very soft online plo8 tourneys and cash games; I wasn't a proficient holdem cash player at this time) to Vegas to take a shot at the first colossus.

I did terrible in the two bullets I fired at the colossus. I ran well in cash games and made enough playing like a nit to buy into the millionaire maker, which I went into very sleep deprived and promptly overplayed QQ to bust in level 2. After cancelling two flights and living in hotels for a month I went home. A few weeks later I flew back with another $3k and I stayed in vegas for over two months grinding cash and bricking dozens of Venetian tournaments before returning home with the same amount of money I left with.

I had learned of a relatively juicy 1/3 game back home thru a kid I met in Vegas. I worked this game all year while studying and fixing my leaks in preparation for next summer. I also needed to fix the leak of living in Vegas like a tourist, so in June 2016 I drove my own car 2300 miles from home and got an apartment. The only tournament I played was the monster stack and I proudly bubbled it.

I'm still here a year later and I can safely say I'd wipe the floor with myself from last year. I've only played a handful of tournaments since the summer because they've destroyed my bankroll in the past... but I actually binked a $55 on bovada for $5700 and a $5 on ACR for $1400. I've been grinding with success but I've also found a girlfriend which has increased my living expenses and reduced my playing time so my bankroll hasn't grown at all.

I've lost my records of live cash except the most recent 500 hours, over which I'm averaging $15/hour (and a lot of bad luck I might add).

Poker has taught me many lessons about ego and dealing with emotions. I'm always willing to learn and improve my game thru any resources available. I've never had a formal coach; I winged this for three years online barely learning from mistakes before realizing how many concepts I was missing by not seeking outside resources. I've learned tons from reading books and listening to players thought processes in the GPL on twitch.

my name is Pavel (28yrs), and im from Germany. I plan to go to Thailand for half a year for a fulltime grind. I wasnt really looking for a backer, until ive received a pm, if i was interested in.. But unfortunately they didnt look for "short term contract" (in my case 6months) Thats why i decided to give it a try and to ask for backing.

What am I looking for?:

Following situation I have: I was living until May 2017 with my GF together in our apartment in Germany. We moved out there, because apartment sucked and was just too expensive. I worked parttime in a store, and played poker in free time. My shop was closed, and right now I dont have either a job, nor an apartment.

Thats why I decided to take this chance and go to Thailand for 6 months. I dont have to quit any job in Germany, i dont have to give up any apartment, so I thought its the perfect time.

Right now i have €24k dept on my credit cards, yes it sucks and no backer want to hear that, but as ive told.. I gonna tell u everything about me, and only want to get seriously interested PMs.
I had this dept on CCs already 2 times, and I cleared it 2 times within 6-12 months. It is not a huge deal to me, and im kind of used to it having dept on CCs. But obv it would be less stressfull, if CCs were cleared on zero. Thats why I go to Thailand (maybe with a pokerfriend, he didnt decide yet) and aim to play full scheduled MTT poker (with some CG) and try to raise my EV overthere to the max. Splitting up my weeks in % theory % poker etc.
I have $2k BR right now and saving to pay apartment for 6months (Sept.-March). I aim to clear my CCs to zero after these 6monhts and i give my whole energy and skill to be successful with this.


Now to the actual thread. I dont really need a backer, but if somebody is interested to invest money in these 6months Thailand fulltime poker, I am open for some deals.

What I can offer you:

6 months high willingness to improve my game to the top lvl, fulltime poker (80-90% MTTs and 10-20% CG when tables are good) and an honest trustfull partnership (only on 888poker, Partypoker and ACR, no Stars)

Ive sold from time to time in my skype group action from live and online action. I can give you some names from ppl, who bought action and won money with me (888 nick "anonstranger", two biggest scores there from 109$ Tuesday challenge 2nd place 4.6k and 3rd in 160$ Crocodile for 3.8k, where ive sold 70% of my action to several ppl who got paid and trust me)

Im registered on 2+2 for long time, but wasnt really active with postings, since I have my live friends and skype group, where i was discussing theory and made HH reviews and so on.

If you are interested in working with me, I obv openminded to get coached during this time, making HH reviews, also can show you my lvl of game in some HH reviews or some example hands, where i can tell you how I would play them etc.

right now i play MTTs with avrg BI of around 10-15$. But enjoy and feel confident in my game in any buyins up to 215$ (as u can see results in the 109$ and 160$ tourney, where ive sold action)

My usual fullscheduled MTT session includes around 30-50 MTTs (grinding best EV mtts between 4-6pm cet and 2am CET) playing around 12-14 tabling at once (2monitors, doing it for last 2 years, so im used to it and feel confident about my game.) If thats too many tables in your opinios, im fine with lowering it abit to 8-12 tables (12 tables = 6 tables on each monitor, no overlapping) I aim to play 6days/week in Thailand, if I feel like it and want to play, than from time to time all 7days. Which means on avrg i would be playing around 1k MTTs/month (+/- 200)

My requirements for the deal:

As I've told you, I wasnt really looking for a backer. But after few thoughts decided, i might give it a shot, if you can give me less stressful atmosphere and helping me out with my dept on creditcards for these 6months.
That means, I give my 100% in arrangement, if you are okay to lend me these €24k which I can put on my Creditcards, so I dont have to pay the high % interest there. I prefer to save money on this interest payment, and share it with my backer of my poker winnings . Obviously after our 6months contract, I would take the €24k back from CCs and give it back to the backer. I wont touch this money, its just so creditcards are cleared to 0 and I dont have any interest payment.

I know my requirements sound crazy and high risky for the backer, but as Ive told you im a trustworthy person (yea sounds stupid again, since this is what everyone would tell you but its up to you, you can talk and get know me with skypecalls or chatting with me for a while..) and we can talk and work out something in skype, if you have interest. I know, that I probably wont find any interested person, but I think its okay to give it a try and ask for.

So im looking for something like a $10k+ BR and €24k which gonna be located on my CCs and give it back after 6months contract. For the trustlvl, also openminded to send you whenever you want my account statements from CCs, so you always see that the money really there and i dont touch it to any time. But thats already details, which we could handle out privately.

In time I am in Thailand I want play something around 30$ avrg BI MTTs (everything from 5$r until 55$ mtts and maybe on Sundays the 90$ Sunday Challenge on 888) and when tables are good, JP tables on 888 (which are 10max) nl100 CG (they are very often super soft, probably have 200k+ hands from it, but not hands from me, most of hands are from mate, who regulary plays these tables. So I already have a clue who is a reg on these tables, and who are potential fish). If you'd be interested to stake me with more than 10k BR, thats gonna be fine too. But I dont want to take more than 20k BR ...So everything inbetween 10 and 20k is cool).
