I dont care to do the math but....thats some horrid vig.

I did some research on the vig in comparison to the WSOP and this is what I discovered.

The WSOP circuit events are 300+45=$345
The WIndy City Poker Championship 300+50+10=$360

The WSOP witholds 3% of the prize pool or $9 from the pool for their dealers brining their vig to a total of $54 and only $291 going in to the prize pool.

WSOP vig is 291+45+9= $54/345= 15.65% total vig at the WSOP circuit event
Windy City vig is 300+60=$60/360= $16.66% total vig at the Windy City Poker

The big difference why the Windy City Poker vig is justified is for a multiple of reasons and you can agree or disagree.

1) You get 25,000 chips - WSOP gives you 5,000-10,00 more bang for your buck!

2) You get the chance to be on TV if you make a final table -WSOP good luck trying to get on tv for a $345 event. makes for a fun time and its local.

3) With the 1% vig being bigger at the Windy City The proceeds go to charity so that is more than fair enough IMO. WSOP every single dollars goes to corporate big wigs. Additionally If you play for any WSOP charity event you typcially donate about 25-50% of your winnings to the charity- good luck with that VIG.
