Rakeraces going forward

No this is not a post to say turn RR into reload bonus or anything of that nature; simply a request/suggestion of structure.

I wont pretend I know why or how you decide what structure to use for different races but the games are dead and i figured id provide some insight/suggestions.

The rake race in Jan was good, but i would not say it is anywhere near as good as it was in (3) months prior. Im not saying that because there is less money:days in the month or anything but rather because the weekly structure is not as generous to the player and maybe not EL either.

My reasoning may be splitting hairs, and really the weekly Races we cool on the fact alone they were a change...

BUT

I think bi-weekly races would benifit the players and probably EL more.

1)Its really discouraging trying to start a race when its half-way over (3 days in)... But if its only 3 days in and you have 14 days its easier to make the list. This will surly motivate people.

2) when the races are so short the prizes are quite small thus making the reward for extra play quite less unless you are on the very top. Sure you could play a lot more hands and more from 50$ to 75$ or 74$->100$. But really wheres the motivation in 25$ difference. I had an oppratunity last week to put in like an extra 6hrs over last 2 days and i coulda make an extra 100-200$... but srsly thats not much motivation. Make it a 400$ and people will put in some extra hands...

3)Create More tiers. The first 4-5 places are normally different pay outs then the next 4-8, and 8-15 might be the same... Youll notice a lot less points being rang up in those... People will mostly slow down once they are "locked in" into a particular bracket give or take 50$... Why should 5th and 6th Each pay 500? why not 450$ and 550$. This would surly encourage more competition and reward the guy who plays a bit more than the other accordingly.

Anyhow another jumbled post for yall; but in general id like longer races (2 weeks --> 1 month) with more of a breakdown in structure. I understand 1 month is long and dont know how great this is (maybe good in short 28 day months *hint*) but other wise 2 weeks is legit imo.

**however if there is another month of weeklys an "Overall board" would be great that way a player "locked in" to a certain bracket would still be motivated to play for rakerace reasons.

-that is all.

Re: Rakeraces going forward

agree with this post, if im not playing much for one or 2 days then the week races are in fact not beneficial to me as i was already out of making the money. I played a ton in dec and made 500 twice and nothing in January..that should tell you about my volume of play. In addition, you also had a 3 month race that was even beter to the player.

You wouldn't play 6 extra hours for $200? That's $33/hr. extra.

You must be rich

Re: Rakeraces going forward

Hi,

As you've noticed, we're putting a hold on the races to try out some other promotions. We'll most likely bring them back, maybe as soon as next month, and your comments will definitely be brought in to the discussions. Thank you, boohaa12.

Best regards,
Lydia

Re: Rakeraces going forward

Having one player win ONE watch while everyone else gets almost nothing is a terrible idea. Rake races help promote Eurolinx, bring them back.
