@ Lydia

Hi.

I was about to write something in the other thread but you closed it.

You are right that some comments weren't so good and not very polite. If my post here comes along the wrong way I apologize for it but this is unintentional. I am not a native speaker so I might choose the wrong words.

Currently the average waitinglist on NL200 is around 8 with all the egulars in there. This morning 2-3 tables NL200 were running. This is not very unusal for your site. So if I want to play I have to wait very long and if I get a seat I have to take everyone just to get my 4-6 tables running. So basically I have no choice of tableselection.

The other point is that your software is ok but for sure not on the high-end site of pokersoftware on the internet. I just don't mean majorthings like the autoreload but also stuff like layout, performance, loading times, holdemmanager compability(sometimes I have problems and delays here) and so on.

I write you this because you compare you site to other sites or company that stop promotions. But here is the problem. An example:

Let's say you buy at a fooddiscounter instead of a small supermarked or a weekly market. You don't buy at the discounter because the products are better. No, you buy there because the products are ok but you get more for the same money. So if the discounter moves his prices to the same level like the markets, than you stop buying there probably because the quality at the markets are higher or you don't have to drive so far.

Don't get me wrong. this is just an example of realworld economy. Eurolinx isn't for sure not a discounter if it comes to support, rewards and stuff like this. But when it comes to the software or the traffic you are in comparison to the majorsites. I mean no one is playing here because of your software.

And this is what you have to keep in mind in my opinion.

Then you talk about the other promotions. But what is this currently?

a) Royal Flush of diamonds...... no need to comment this I think

b)KQ of diamonds. It's ok, but even if I win as a NL200 player I get 1/8 of my stack. Also it's not happening very often.

c) The clock. Basically not there for me. I don't know if a Nl200/400 player can even win this without losing a ton of money because he has to play to many tables for to many hours. I see for example where Boohaa(my limits and one above afaik) finishes and this guy plays a ton of hand(100k a month maybe?)

So there is no real promotion going on for someone like me playing around 50k hands of Nl200. So I only have the Vipdeal, which I have on other sites too but there I can better tableselect and also always have enough tables going within minutes. Both has an huge effect on my winrate.

I think this is why many people are complaining at the moment about your site.

Somewhat other topic but still related to traffic and tableselection:

The fact that you focus more on the european market is a bad idea, because the games get harder.
Don't get me wrong US-guys, I am not saying that US players are worse than europeans but your playerpool is just bigger and so there is more potential fish. Maybe the games at full tilt or stars are harder overall, but If you tableselect well you almost always find 6 very good tables(at least at the small/midstakes) whereas at microgaming you have to take what get.

So finally I just want to say that I would love to play more hands(or all my hands) again on Eurolinx because I really love this room but without any promotions it's probably better for me to play at majorsites.

Re: @ Lydia

Hi jawe,

Thank you for your comments. They're all very reasonable. I'll answer as best as I'm able.

I understand about how Microgaming's software might be inferior to others on the market. I can say that they're working on changing that, however slowly they might work, and I do see promise in the future. If you compare the software of now to the software of a year ago, the different is startling and very positive. Not that that makes today's software better, but there is good forward movement. At this time, I really don't think it's so bad. With the next release, when they fix the waiting list problem and the auto-reload, I think you'll find it much more playable. I know for a fact that the forums on 2+2 have been instrumental in a lot of the more positive changes in the past few months.

We chose Microgaming because they were open to the US. Two years ago, they were the only option available for us. Their decision to not accept new US players hurt us, but considering the legal climate in the States, it wasn't surprising. We can't accept new US players because of the network that we're on, so we're looking to get new players where there are new players to get. A good proportion of our new players are coming from Asia right now, and those players are fishy. We're putting more of our efforts out there, and I think the results will start showing up on the tables more often.

A balance has to be struck between promotions for serious players and promotions for regular players. This is what we will be working on more in March. The ones we have now tend to be more for the recreational player, not so much for the players on 2+2.

Table selection is going to get better this month. Ladbrokes is finally joining the Microgaming network on the mid- to high-limit tables. We're looking forward to this. From what I know, they tend to bring the sportsbettors.

Best regards,
Lydia

Re: @ Lydia

For the record, I stand by my comments in the locked thread. However, I would like to clarify that none of that feeling has anything to do with the CS staff I have interacted with who have all been exemplary.

Re: @ Lydia

Lydia you guys run a good company in general but as I have stated before you can't just increase rake while at the same time cutting promotions and expect people to take it in stride. I understand with the lack of new US sign ups you are in a transitional phase but your high volume regs need to be taken care of.

Re: @ Lydia

i play on eurolinx and am all for getting the most for the player..but how much room does a site like eurolinx have to make promotions good for the player and yet yield the company a profit and handle the companies overhead..keep in mind microgaming get s a good chunk of the rake as well

Re: @ Lydia

With Unibet, tables are in Euros only, so is the rake....
And rake in Euros is more expansive for the limits where you reach the cap (as from NL50/100)
