Xmas gift for a poker player: coaching, videos or chips?

Hey everyone, apologies if this is the wrong place to post this thread, but this is kind of an unusual question.

Got an email from my poker buddy's wife today. She's looking to get him a cool, poker-related Christmas present and is looking for ideas.

Think her range is probably gong to be $200 to $500 but not exactly sure.

So I'm trying to come up with a good idea for her. Couple of ideas come to mind: videos, coaching or chips to enter tournaments with.

We live in LA and my buddy plays a couple ~$200 live MTTs a month and some low stakes sngos on Merge. He cashed a $1k this year at the WSOP.

Is cardrunners worth it? Or is there a series of videos she could buy him? Or should I just have her give him some chips to enter tourneys with? Or is there a coach I could suggest who he could get a few hours with?

Appreciate any thoughts..........

Hey there,

If you want, you can purchase a 12-month subscription for your buddy for a 50% discount. The offer is only valid for a limited time, but our 12-month Gold Subscription is available for $180 right now.

We've got plenty of MTT videos (both theory and actual gameplay) that would have applicable lessons and strategies for your friend.

If you'd like to purchase the membership on behalf of your friend, email support@cardrunners.com and we'd be happy to accommodate you.

Let me know if you have any other questions,
AH

Hey this is an old post but I had the same dilemma... what to get someone who plays poker? You could get them some decent playing cards or I got a friend a zippo lighter w/ poker graphics. It's simple but my friend liked it.

Here is the website for zippo lighters that are gambling themed:
http://www.zippo.com/lighters.aspx?id=1226&t=1290

I hope this helps anyone else who is trying to figure out a small gift for someone who likes poker.
