Here is my blog announcement from Stoxpoker.com. I will take any questions anyone may have in this thread....
I am proud to announce that

For those who are not aware of the price point, I am proud to announce that the book will sell for only $39.99, making it the cheapest book ever written by a no limit holdem online poker player. If you order the book before December 18th, you will receive a signed copy of the book.
I am really excited to be writing this blog because I really poured my soul into this project. It took a lot of hard work in an area where I am admittedly not an expert. I know how to bet, raise and fold, but writing a book was something new for me. I have to take my hat off to my co author, Scott Brown, who has won national awards as both a writer and an editor. Working with him was truly a blessing and if you read the book and are wondering why I write so well, Scott Brown is your answer.
I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about the book in my own words. First of all this book was written with Stoxpoker members in mind first and foremost. You guys are the reason I had so much great material to work with. This book intended to answer the thousands of questions I have gotten over the past three years in forum posts, private messages and most recently the flood of questions I received from Stoxpoker members in threads relating to this book while I was writing it.
What the book intends to do is to give members the building blocks for success as an online poker player. Much of the knowledge I have gathered over the past several years is summed up in this book. I had to learn it all the hard way and my intent is to give the reader the inside scoop on the approach that I took. My intent is to deliver to you in one book what I had to take years out of my life to learn. It was written in such a way that delivers a simple, but hard hitting message. When I could have written for pages and pages, I tried to sum everything up in a few paragraphs. For example, I don’t want the reader bogged down reading 10 pages on why you should rakeback. All you really need to know is that it is like free money and you should take advantage of that. It isn’t that simple of course, but play along with me here. Explaining in 20 pages what can be explained in 2 is not the best use of your time. I hope that makes sense.
Here is the outline of the book:

In all there are 60 chapters including the foreword, introduction, conclusion and afterword. While the strategy section may look sparse in the table of contents, each “common situation” is it’s own chapter and they are actually by far the most in depth chapters. The 5 “effective plays” are also 5 separate chapters.
One other thing that I would like to point out is that there were several contributors to this book. My wife contributed a chapter to having a successful relationship with a poker pro. Some may find this hard to believe, but she actually wrote her master’s degree thesis on specifically poker player relationship mediation. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say she is the only woman in the world who wrote their thesis on having a relationship as a poker wife.
Jared Tendler contributed 5 chapters in the book. The work he does is some of most important work for your poker game you could ever find. He is truly incredible at what he does and this should give you a taste of what you can find in his upcoming book. Jared, you da man!
Michael Skelton produces all of the videos you watch at Stoxpoker and is the most knowledgeable people I know in poker when it comes to how to set up your computer, or getting the most rakeback or whatever else you can think of in that genre. He is the guy I call first whenever I have a question about anything computer or rake back related (he’s also one heck of a poker player)and I am proud that he was kind enough to contribute a chapter in my book.
I want to let everyone know that I have been incredibly humbled by all of the support for this book. It has been overwhelming (in a good way) to hear from so many people that they are looking forward to this book. I guess I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel a lot of pressure to live up to everyone’s expectations. I am definitely nervous that my book won’t be as good as I am hoping people think it is. But Scott tells me that is natural to feel that way as a first time author. I hope he’s right!
Thanks in advance to everyone who gives my book a chance. If I let you down I apologize a thousand times. I know I gave it my very best effort and I can only hope that the effort I gave will show when you read the book and ultimately contribute somewhat to your success at the felt. Thank you very much!
