Recommended Micro Videos @ CardRunners

Wondering where to start with the immense video library available at CardRunners? Here is the path that I would recommend for beginning micro stakes (25NL and below) players. This should set a solid foundation for winning at these stakes with a mixture of Power Point tutorials and live play from solid, winning players.

As of 9/8/2010, we currently have the following number of post-UIGEA videos:

3 @ 5NL
15 @ 10NL
50 @ 25NL
66 @ 50NL

Key Instructors: Verneer, Citizenwind, MDoranD, Pokey

- You Too Can Crush The Micros Part 1 (8/25/2008): Verneer and Citizenwind discuss what makes a TAG profitable at the micros as well as seven big mistakes micro stakes players make.

- You Too Can Crush The Micros Part 2 (8/31/2008) & Part3 (9/7/2008): A discussion of the player types you will find at the tables and some dos and don'ts of exploiting them. Extra Credit: Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7, & Part 8.

- The Jump Off Part 1 (3/8/2009), Part 2 (3/15/2009), & Part3 (9/22/2009): Citizenwind points to not making life harder than it should be.

- MDoranD Part 1 (2/7/2010): (Live Play) MDoranD reviews a session he’s played at 25NL.

- MDoranD Part 2 (2/15/2010): (Live Play) MDoranD and Verneer review a session Verneer played at 25NL. Extra Credit: Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, & Part 6.

- Mt. Micro Part 1 (12/6/2009): General profit at the micros: Having good hands, taking inititive, playing in position, playing unbalanced.

- Mt. Micro Part 5 (1/11/2010): 10K hand checkup. 4-betting and dealing with donk bets.

- Mt. Micro Part 4 (12/27/2009): Discussions of ABC poker and table selection. Extra Credit: Part 2, Part 3, & Part 6.

- Saturday Seminar - Changing Gears Part 1 (5/15/2010), Part 2 (6/12/2010), Part 3 (7/10/2010), & Part 4 (8/14/2010): Pokey discusses the advantages of changing gears at the tables.

Once you are ready to watch some 50NL action, I would recommend the following videos:

50NL:

Play Along with Verneer (5/24/09) - Hands play out in a session and you get to make decisions based on a bunch of multiple choice options on what you think the optimal play would be. After a couple seconds I present my own decision and show the result. You can then view Part 2, and Part 3.

Replayer Session (11/30/2009): [vital]Myth plays 4 50NL deep tables with antes on FTP.

Replayer Session (4/4/2010): Citizenwind plays 4 tables of 50NL on FTP.

The Next Step:

Once you are ready to make the jump to 100NL/200NL, check out my recommendation for SSNL videos on CardRunners.

I liked Verneer's Crushing the Micros II, and Citizenwind's So You've Been Raised also.

Verneer - I love your 'you too can beat the micros' series. Are you still making more videos with that big 10NL winner guy? If so, awesome, I'm looking forward to them.

If not, here's my request: can you please make a video that focuses SPECIFICALLY on moving from 10NL to 25NL. As someone that crushes both games, and at one time made this transition, you should be able to help someone at 10NL decide things like: when ready, when BR is ready, what to expect, etc etc. Thx!

I like the 25NL videos and would like to see more of the fully ring vids. I like the videos of hands being replayed which were played by Verneer and/or mdorand and having them analyze them and their thought process, but I also love the videos that make me feel like I'm in poker school...the PowerPoint presentations, the use of PokerStove, the discussion of opening ranges and equity vs. villain ranges, the calculations showing why certain moves are profitable, etc. 25NL is a key level to me because I feel like it's the first limit where competent players outnumber the incompetent ones and a whole new dynamic is therefore introduced.

Check out today's FR video - A Little R & R with Rask & Ringer

It's a little higher stakes, but good classroom/foundation vid.

Can you maybe tag the videos which are 6max and which are FR. Watched some of Verneers videos and as i understood he only makes 6max videos. Are there any good FR coaches in CR? Sure there are but my point is that maybe u can point them out.

Rask, Kush and RonFar3 to name a few. Also, the videos are tagged. If you go the search screen there is a checkbox for full-ring.

Due to circumstances, we have decided to remove Wishiewish's videos from our library. Thanks.
