Any Difference between DRM videos and Ipod Ready vids?

Is there any difference between those two beside one has DRM protection and other one hasn't?
Quality and resolution are the same?

Hey 4-Star:

You are correct. DRM are "protected" while iPod ones aren't.

DRM videos are also in .wmv format while the iPod compatible ones are in .mp4.

Technically, they are identical in resolution, but I think the mp4 files look a little better, for whatever reason.

I've noticed iPod ready vids from 2012 and older are encoded at 320 by 240 so pretty much unwatchable compared to wmv, unless you're watching a theory only video.

The newer mp4 encodes for iPod are really good though. Hopefully they rencode older mp4 videos in a higher resolution.

Unlikely we'll go back and edit all the older vids, but if there is a specific series or video you'd like to see, let me know. I can't guarantee we will edit it (we may not even have the raw file any more) but happy to look into it.
