Is it weird that every time I walk to the grocery store with my backpack a small portion of my brain is playing zombie apocalypse survivalist?

Obv you're saving it for the late summer meet up.

PSA: At some point in the near future, I will be delievering "Oberbrunner's contract to America" in the Politics community. OC2A will be a blueprint for Democrats (and anybody else) to remove Republicans from office in 2018 and will lead to the impeachment of the 45th President of the United States and the impeachment of the 48th Vice President Mike Pence. Furthermore, it will lead to the to inauguration of the 46th President of the United States, the presumed Speaker of the House at that time, and would be first woman President of the United States, Nancy Pelosi.

Every time I walk into a grocery store w/ a backpack I think people are going to assume I'm gonna try to shoplift something.

Same for me, in most grocery stores here backpacks are even banned, in practice no one has ever said anything to me about it though

Here in Chicago it' not uncommon to see people come in with backpacks because so many people walk as their commute. But back in Michigan it was pretty much unheard of. Cars everywhere. Parking lots everywhere. Drive around and around to find a spot that's 15 feet closer. Good life.

They haven't even started charging for bags and still ask "paper or plastic" up here..
So my backpack is super weird and gets strange looks.

My reusable grocery bags have all been put to other use because whenever I tried them up here the bagger would put the groceries in plastic bags and then put the plastic bag in the reusable one.

My route to grocery store is a scenic mile on a walking trail next to a lake...

I'd probably screw the environment more if it was uglier.
