can someone plz help me?


I got my record player and I've put it together but I can't get any ****ing sound because I'm a total ****ing ****** when it comes to stereo equipment.

I've got an old kenwood receiver and the speaker plugs look like this





and the old speakers I have have like an RCA plug like this






so how do I plug it into the receiver? Lemme guess, cut the RCA plug off and wire them up, right? But which side of the speaker wire goes to which side?

it doesn't matter. its just the polarity. it will work either way just...just one way will sound better.

how do you figure out the polarity? just listen and switch them around and see if they sound better?

i cant see taht cord very well, but if its divided into two parts, soemtimes one wire will be smooth balck, that is negative the other side will be ridged black, that is positive

Hook one up..then the other. Listen to music. Then switch the wires on one. Does it sound better?

the pos jack out of the back of the speaker has to correspond to the pos speaker jack on the back of the tuner, same with neg. im kinda think his speakers dont work like this since they had that jack on them, im guessing u cant switch them in the speaker
