My guess is that the libertarians say to cut or stop those subsidies. However, that would hurt several branches of big industry, especially the meat and fast food industry. But I guess my question is: why is Paul 25% to win in an agriculture-heavy state when he has a philosophy which will hurt lots of farmers?

Yes, it's my understanding that is his position. Mine too. I'm what you might term a "libertarian socialist", which seems like it must be a contradiction. I guess I'm just a very confused young man.

People vote against their interests all the time and I suspect he doesn't need to get any of that segment to win Iowa ... but it sure wouldn't hurt.
