woke up early today, went to the garden and picked a head of cabbage, some lettuce, a couple peppers and an onion and made a fantastic breakfast salad.

bout to hop in the shower and go to the coin shop and spend some 'found' monies.

on the way home, stopping at the butcher's for some nice, thick steaks.

later tonight, our two best friends are coming over for drinks and a fire.

great day.

At first I thought it was 100 Grams and I was thinking that isn't much. Even $100K of Silver is only about 2500 ounces. Significant but not completely unmanageable

yea, 100G should have been typed 100K.

Since I've never been able to buy silver AEs @ spot, at best 100K is more like 2,220 silver Eagles. 2,220 ounces = 138.75 pounds.

Again, where ya' gonna' store it if you want to take physical delivery?

I know a guy that keeps his silver in buckets labeled "machine parts" in his garage. His house was burglarized and the silver was not touched.

"Gold Set for Longest Weekly Rally Since April 2007"

Longest weekly? What does that even mean?

Haha, very nice. I know a guy who keeps money in an old sauerkraut can in the back of his fridge.

I wouldn't want to risk gold poisoning...

An up week is when the Friday close is higher than the Monday open. The streak is the consecutive number of weeks this happens.

Small safe or medium safe deposit box. I just measured my small safe and it is big enough to hold 7x7x3 (147) sleeves of 20 for an easy 2940 coins.

uh, don't know if you've ever seen a monster box of silver, but there's no way you're gonna' store 3 - 5 of them in any normal kind of bank safety deposit box.

Yes, you could store them in a home safe. But if you were away for a long weekend and your home was broken into, how difficult would it be for a burglar to break into the safe or simply haul it off and worry about breaking into it later?

I'm with the guy who says to break your stash up and store it in lots of different places.

If there were consecutive runaway gaps yeah maybe. None of those now. And does a major top NOW fundamentally make any sense?

For the UK people what are the best ways to get physical bullion gold and silver? Edit: I would like to spend around £15k, so whatever the best way to get in not too far over spot that would allow.

Cheers

This why I look at the chart people and dismiss them immediately...

100K in silver wouldn't take up much space but damn it would be heavy

I have a question about gold spot price

Any given price, like right now gold is in the 18 hundreds per ounce. Does this assume the gold is 24 karat or what? Obviously an ounce of 24 karat bullion is going to be worth more than an ounce of 22 karat.

Go to Baird and Co. They are the best bar none.

Yes it assumes 24k. If you want to find out how to calculate the price of less than 24k, just google it.

Be careful. Some coins are 1oz gold coins @ 22k (or whatever) and it does not mean they contain less than 1 oz of gold; it means they are 1 oz of gold alloyed with a small amount of other metals like copper and silver. Krugerrands and American Eagles are like this. Krugs are alloyed with copper only IIRC, while Eagles are alloyed with silver (3%) and copper (5 1/3 %), but both 1oz coins contain a full troy ounce of gold.
