With the exception of any pedophiles who might be reading this, most people are in agreement that the alleged child sexual abuse that occurred at Penn State University is deplorable. And yet Penn State plans to go forward with their football games trying to squeeze every last dollar of profit out of the football program. At Penn State it's always been about one thing - the money. That's the only thing that means anything up there - the money.
I hope the various organizations that fight against child abuse will be watching (and taking note) of the advertisers and sponsors who run commercials during the Penn State game. If Chevrolet, Toyota, Ford, soft drink companies, cell phone companies, fast food operators and other Fortune 500 corporations want to associate themselves with a university that protects a sexual predator; then hopefully a nationwide boycott of these companies (and their products) can be organized. If I were the CEO of any of these companies, I would be having second thoughts as to whether I want the public associating my product with that institution.
