Settle a bet for me: imagine LeBron James quits basketball to become a professional sumo wrestler. Assuming he gives it his all, is it safe to say that he becomes champion within five years?

I think his high center of mass would be a liability, tbh.

Doesn't he live in Ohio? IME he should put on 200 around the middle a year or two into retirement. Dat Old Country Buffet.

Yes, but only if Ditka decides not to compete.

I remember when Jordan tried sumo after retirement and it was a total embarassment.

Instead of basketball players transitioning to sumo, id rather see some sumobros try to play ball. How sick would that be to see a yokozuna do a slam dunk?

After extensive research I have come to the conclusion that he would be the third best Sumo wrestler in the world. Therefore, being the second best basketball player in the world means he chose correctly when deciding between sumo and basketball.

I think he'd be better at Kendo, but he's still have been able to do it in his prime.
