This book really hit the spot for me. I wouldn't say it's excellent, but I loved hearing about his dual life as a wrestler/gym teacher and the adventures he had as an old-school wrestler.

There's a kind of Sunset Boulevard aspect to GtAS's career: he got into the business during the early days when wrestling was a barnstorming carnie show where guys ate bologna sandwiches and beer on the way to gigs and stayed in the industry until he got old and then the scripted WWF era started with guys like Macho Man and Hulk Hogan. At some point he realized the game was passing him by and he went back to being a high school coach.

All in all, George just sounds like a super chill midwestern bro and I would have liked to have kicked back a few beers with him.
