Top pair on a paired board line check

5-5 game where my image is tight as i have been card dead. Villain is young asian i have played with before. He probably reads me as competant, as i have been a winner. My read is that he is passive, as i have seen him slowplay and mostly just call w big hands. I have AJcc on button. Villain and i both have over $1k. 3 limpers, i raise to 30. All call. Pot is @120, flop comes A88ss. Checks to me i lead for $85. Folds to villain in mp, who calls. Turn is an offsuit K. Villain leads into a pot of $290 for $150. I tank call. Thoughts? Seems like a nitty fold. I am putting the villain on an 8, small ace, or spade draw. Raise seems spewy this deep. My thought was that i have position, so i can hope for a river blank or ace, and get to showdown cheap or spike a boat.

River is a 6s, and villain leads for $250. This seems like an easy fold, but im open to theories. Thx in advance for any thoughts.

Hard to think of a hand you can beat. He might be "bluffing" with Ax but not often enough to call for a chop so I'd fold.

Re: Top pair on a paired board line check

Jamming and folding both seem better than calling here.
