Long Stretches of Card Dead/Flop Dead

Is it just part of it?
On a big downswing at the 1/3 level at the moment. My pre-flop play seems solid, but I'm missing every flop and C-bets and double barrels are getting called down by hands that hit any piece of the flop.
I don't get to log a ton of hours, so I know small sample sizes aren't real accurate, but tonight I had AK-AQ 6 times in 90 minutes.....and didn't make a single pair. Got it in vs a 30bb short stack twice in flip situations and lost both.
Really I think I just need a hug.......

I'm going through the same exact thing right now in 1-2 but I am playing preflop a bit poorly on top of it, working on it though... Just have to keep grinding. Don't let the downswing effect you .

I have no idea what that is, but if you point me in the right direction I would be happy to make the right play....

6 times is actually a lot in 90 minutes. Playing well is often extremely boring. Just gotta live with it.

I play fairly LAGgy preflop and in my last 2 sessions Ive still had a 90 minute and a 2 hour streak where I didnt play 1 single hand. It happens. Its very frustrating especially when there's lots of action and chips flying around and you feel like nothing but a spectator, but there's nothing you can do but ride it out.

BBV stand for Brags, Beats, and Variance, and it is a forum people go to complain. Few hugs are offered, though, so I wouldn't actually go there if I were you.
As for your question, yes this is just part of poker. There are a zillion threads on this subject in this forum. Please do a search on "card dead" in the title of the thread, and you'll get a page full of them. If you still have questions/comments after reading them, feel free to bump the one you found the most useful.
