Re: 10-20 NL Commerce??

lol

well if you are playing against lots of players that don't like to fold, why would you bother having a high bluffing frequency???

Good point but they don't bluff even when there is scared money on the table for example.

I guess the only people to respond would be the people doing well...the people who are busto like me are probably too insecure to respond. What I'm saying is I believe that the vast majority of people are busto like me right now or very close. Thoughts?
yeh they prob are cause people dont know how to adapt to changing circumstances...there's still live poker and online has came back to something similar.....granted its not like printing money 5 years ago but you can still do well...every industry goes through changes - if you cant adapt your not gonna make it

Re: How would Bart Hanson fair against the 5/10 Borgata Players?

Let me guess OP: you play at Borgata and think you play in the toughest 5/10 games around and that the west coast games must be super soft. While I haven't played in LA, I've played in a ton of venues and Borgata was pretty on par with how soft 5/10 live is in general, especially when 10/25 runs and every reg with a brain is playing that game.

always wanted to play 5-10 on the east coast to see the similarities/differences compared to la. is this game uncapped? if so id imagine any good winning players winrate would increase compared to the 1500cap in LA.

**official MHFR LC thread*

There have been a bunch of terrible threads lately so I thought I'd start a thread to consolidate all the train wreck. So here you can blow off steam, ask mundane questions, compare venues, etc.

Have at it if you'd like...

Have you played 5/10 at the Borgata or in Vegas? Those games are pretty big jokes too. No I have not watched Live at the Bike though.

Borgata 5/10 capped at 2k. Parx in Philly 10/10 capped at 3k.

My experience with about 300 hours on the West Coast vs. thousands of hours on the East Coast at these stakes is that the East Coast games are generally tighter. Whether that makes them "better or worse" I don't know, but there is definitely an initial adjustment to stack off ranges, etc. when you switch coasts.

Zach, have you played the 5-10 at Charlestown? When I lived on the east coast and went to AC I usually played the 10-20 or 10-25, and in comparison the 5-10 games were a joke. How do you compare the CTown game to Borgata? I've played CTown a few times and found the action pretty good.

IME, and Its probably obvious, where 5-10 is the biggest NL game in the house the games will attract tougher players (and more action players as well).

I spent a week at the WSOP during "seniors week" - those 5-10 uncapped games at the Rio definitely were better action than the 10-25 games running, at least the ones I saw. Of course that may be due to the influx of "seniors" with money that week.

I looked at the Aria, Bellagio and Venetian and at least during the afternoon/evening the Rio games still looked better in comparison (in spite of the highly variable quality of dealers). So I played every day at the Rio.

Are you still in the ME?

Re: **Official MHFR LC thread**

Yeah during the school year when I live in Baltimore I play semi-regularly in the Ctown 5/10 game. It was always pretty good but there were a few regs who actually had brains whereas at Borgata which usually has higher running the regs with brains are playing higher. That said when I did play 10/25 although all the good regs were playing that game it was still softer than most of the 5/10 games running because all the rich fish were playing in that game as well.
