I've got bad "news" for you ; Bernard Tapie is basically a POS. He's been involved (as well as his son) in an incredible number of scandals/shaddy stories in the financial/business world. e.g. he bought an european soccer club, and "arranged" matches, ..... read about the 'Credit Lyonnais' . That guy already spent 1 year in jail, wich is quite uncommon for financial criminals (in Europe at least, they usually only have to pay huge fines).

Who running a poker site isnt a huge money grubbing POS? If GBT can get ftp2 up and running and especially in the usa when its legal then he wont have to be a scumbag to make a fk ton of cash.

Hey Jim what are your thoughts on starting a petition in NVG to have all FTP shareholders and any player who owes money to FTP, that have not signed a letter of intent to repay, banned from ALL WSOP and EPT events this year?
Perhaps we could have people agree that if the WSOP/EPT do not ban them then all players who sign the petition will slow play every action when an FTP shareholder is at the table. Perhaps something like since they owe roughly $300mill we could take 3mins for every decision?
Or perhaps go as far as to refuse to play with them at your table and force them to call a clock on you every single hand?

the first part of this I'm for, the latter part not so much. you can't ask people to sacrifice their tourney money and EV to make a point. But a petition that says we won't give our business to tournaments and sites that allow these thieves to play would be fine with me. And if something like this gained momentum it could be really interesting to see what Harrah's and the WSOP would do if thousands of 2p2ers agreed to not play WSOP and instead played Venetian deepstack or something in order to protest the allowance of the FTP thieves to play.

I'm for it. I don't know how much time I have right now as I'm working about 5 hours a day as an assistant baseball coach (for basically no pay) and still trying to be a full time grinder. But I'll help if I can in some reasonable way.

Meh. Not sure if this is necessary. Like I'm pretty sure Howard and Ray aren't going to show up (lest they get lynched). But if you were going to do this, you should have it be a life time ban (or until we get paid) and some more reasonable punshment alternatives. But I'll sign.

I realise its a huge long shot that this will happen, I just can see so few ways we can impact their lives I felt like this was at least somewhat in the realms of possibility and if there is even a 1% chance that it encourages a shareholder to come forward and say they will return what they can of the stolen funds to players then it is worth taking that shot.
Most likely it ensues into a debate and fizzles out in a few days but so be it.
