5/T 1k max game that is revolving around one specific whale in MP. He has a ridiculously high vpip and is going to the felt ridiculously light.

the game is very good and loose pre since all the regs and a few solid pros are trying to play as many pots as possibly with this guy. He is also very agro pre and can open atc with 0% fold to 3b, so let me know if anyone thinks l/rr is a better option pre.

I start the hand with 1200 and main V in MP and whale have me covered. MP is pretty loose and stationy but capable of bluffing.

I open red AA UTG to 40, MP calls, whale calls MP2, BTN and SB call.

Flop (200): T94. I bet 170, MP calls, whale calls, SB nit makes a comment that he cant fold now and calls.

Turn (880): Q

Wasn't expecting to get called in so many spots otf. MP should have a pretty strong range for calling with the whale acting after him. SB I'm not so much worried about since he would have c/r 2pr+ and probably wouldn't make a comment like that with a strong draw, and he also looks a bit uninterested.

There is a slight chance that the whale spazz bets any pair if it checks to him, in which case I can jam, but it would be a disaster if it gets checked through and I miss a street of value. Whale is also rarely folding Tx/9x especially if he picks up any equity with a gs, or any fd/sd. with about 1k behind, i was a bit torn on the sizing.

I ended up betting 600, only MP calls.

River (2080): K

with 400 left I thought this was pretty close. I ended up making my decision based on a live read but am still interested

Are u b/f turn? If so sizing is too big. I'm not even sure how much I love betting that turn 4 ways.

As played its a hideous runout and I have no clue what we are ahead of other than bricked

Don't rly know what you beat now
Turn is more interesting imo
I don't think it's a disaster at all to try for two streets (by checking turn) on what is now a very wet board that hits your opps ranges quite well

Think I close my eyes and jam turn......as played we beat exactly Axs and lose to everything else so check and probably puke/call getting 6 to 1 if you think he ever calls turn with bare nut spades. Jamming the river seems pretty dumb. Also, i rarely do this, but this is a pretty ideal spot to limp pre.

turn is a ****ty spot, id probably jam. cant really imagine a situation in which you fold with 400 behind and theres a whale who is likely inelastic to betsize + theres like a million draws and pair+draws. not sure i like checking since it seems pretty likely it will check through and then we have to dodge a lot of the deck with pretty bad visibility oop, and its likely we have the best hand ott.

If Whale is raising 100% and folding to 3b 0% I don't think you should have a raising range at all.

I do like the idea of limping pre. He has the potential to open atc but isn't opening 100% of hands, but has a 100% vpip. when he does open he will will never fold to a 3b

Close, but I like jam turn. If you're likely to get raised pre but not super likely to get 3bet, then I think limp is definitely your best option.

I would probably jam the turn now.

I like the idea of limping pre here as well. Obviously not just premiums either, would be sick to start limp/RR isoing the whale with stuff like QJs ATo etc.
