Playing 5/10 live last night at the local casino. This is only my second hand at the table, so no read on villain at all. However, as I sat down he was still in the midst of stacking his chips from a 3500$ pot. I am in CO villain is button.

Early position raises to 30
I call
Villain re-raises to 60
EP calls
I call

Flop
638 rainbow

EP checks
I check
Villain bets 105
EP folds
I call

Turn J

My question is, do you bet here? If so, how much?

You need to give your stack sizes. I would not bet, though.

I would definitely not bet, depending on how c/r OTT are perceived at this game I would either c/r turn or c/c.

That seems to be the consensus. I did go for a c/r but villain checked behind. I bet 200 on the river...

Definitely a c/r scenario and if he overbets you min raise...

I probably c/c turn and check river. I like a river c/r if turn checks through.

I'd def 3b pre - in the 5-10 game I play, a 3x raise is considered small, and thus more likely to pick up calls from the button/sb/bb. V's minraise squeeze is odd - thoughts on V's range here?

If you think V def has an overpair, a check call turn and c/r river would be your best bet to double up - V might be able to find the fold button on a c/r turn because he risks facing a big bet on the river as well. In any case, def check and let V bet turn.

strange someone would bet $105 in a 5/10 game, if this hand was played at lower stake you need to be honest to get the relevant advice.

I donk small on the turn, if he has a big overpair(he 3bmin pre) he's not folding and is most likely raising, and if he's aggro he might even read your donkbet as FOS and raise with marginal hands/bluffs. you want to double up and can't risk a check behind. c/r or c/c turn c/r river both look much stronger than donking small.

Nope, it was 5/10. Local casino, but FWIW most of these guys play 1/2 normally. The 5/10 gets going maybe once a week. When you buy for 1000$ they give you 500 red and 500 in greens. So not uncommon actually. Agreed also on your points. Thats how I felt as well. I think I shouldve donked into him on the turn. I feel very confident he wouldve raised. As played, he checked behind. Now what do we like? I just feel like I butchered a great spot for a double up and got minimum value out of my miracle turn.

Why is 105 strange? You do realize that 95% of 5/10s are played with $5 chips right?
