whats wrong with the 5-5 300-1000 game? I could play higher but i love the fact that i can now buy in for deepper but for a smaller total amount. i think they are regularly getting three to four tables of that game whereas they used to get maybe one 5/10 and maybe one or two 300-500 game.

i think in the long run the 300-1000 should allow players like me to transition easier to a bigger game no?

There's nothing wrong with the game. Its prob better for the casino except it can lose bigger players if they don't have bigger games. And it probably apeals to more of the player pool as well. But just from a selfish standpoint, it makes it such that I won't drive to the bike to play in a $5 bb game.

i have a feeling that the increased interest in the 300-1000 game is a good sign for the future of the 5-10nl at the bike. it seems the new game has expanded the player base, many of whom will want to move onto the 5-10nl no cap game at some point.

or maybe they could think about implementing a 5-10nl game with a $3k cap. capped games seem to play faster and looser in general. corp mike et al would come back for that game.

the key here is uncapped. players that play the 3-1000 will NEVER play 5-10 uncapped just cause it plays so much bigger.

however if the bike changes the 5-10 to a 1500 cap then i think more of the 3-1k players will try it and stick around for at least awhile.

but then again 1500 cap sucks.

Nothing wrong with it. It's a great structure. All casinos in LA should follow suit, and allow 200BB's.

But, if you want to transition at some point, you're probably going to have to leave the Bike, because that game really isn't healthy. It's not going often at all from what I can tell.

It's a shame because a lot of people prefer playing at the Bike, but if you're a 5-10 and up player, there's no value in cutting your hourly to play the 300-1000, hoping that the 5-10 game will go.

last night at one point there were 5 300-1000 games going. before they would be lucky if two 300-500 games were going.

If they did have a 5/10 capped gamed I think you are right and would get more players. I know that the few times I bulit my stack up in an uncapped game in Vegas all of a sudden players would show up with stacks that had say 500 in 5 dollar chips and one 10k chip or a5k chip. Thats the most frightening thing for us novices. buliding a big stack then losing it all in one hand against a pro.

so I left that game after i got up to around 4k from a 500 starting stack. Yeah the glory days when i used to run really well. stupid but lucky.
