As played I think nh. I think folding turn, calling turn folding river and calling river are all close and reasonable. Personally i would mostly fold turn. One of the things I've learned over the years (and one of the reasons why i believe I've been a successful winning rec player despite being not as good/smart/talented as a lot of the Wizards who I've played with (and gone busto) over the years: it's totally ok to just keep folding and get owned by good regs assuming your game selection is good and there's money to be made elsewhere in spots that don't require you to push a 2% equity edge for thousands of dollars. Also I've learned that a lot of the times you're 100% sure you're getting outplayed/outclassed villain flips over AA or a set here and wasn't making moves at all. This is just one of those spots I'm not trying to be a superstar in
I agree with this for the most part unless you have a super sweet bankroll!

I appreciate your point but respectfully disagree a 4bet is good here because he is in a bad spot unless he has aa-kk and has to fold a vast majority of his unreasonably wide 3bet squeeze range out of position. He hates 5betting all in with qq ak here because he knows if he is snapped off his hand is in big trouble

After thinking about it I think you are right a raise would be +ev against this villain on the flop. I'm repping a narrow range of sets but a good player would have to fold here. It depends how he preceives me. Am I donk in his eyes who is raise flop with 10-10 jj. This matters and I don't think he thought I was this type of donk

Without even a vague idea of what you're 4-betting or raising on the flop there's practically no hope for any meaningful discussion of the river. In other words, it probably isn't fishy for many players to play Jc9c this way, but it is for you.

Without backdoor equity I think flop is a fold with A9

Also I can get them to barrel off more marginal hands and I can call down with the top end of my range?
J9 is not an exploitable fold, not even close. You have tons of better hands in your range to bluff catch with.

You could call brick rivers but this is not a brick.

This was my first thought too. I think on blank rivers it's correct but de3finitely a big mistake on this river,
